Here is my superminx. its a 63, 1.6 auto as it was when I got it By psychosuperminx at 2011-08-20 By psychosuperminx at 2011-08-20 it was shabby, but mot'd (on inspection maybe it shouldn't have been) I decided as the paint was tired and patchy i'd go satin black (i know but i like it) By psychosuperminx at 2011-08-20 i thought A total blackout would be too much , so got hold of some budget hobby glitter paint off ebay, ex homebase stock and did the roof and bootlid (unfortunately I got caught out by rain so it when patchy but it's ok with the general rat look of the car By psychosuperminx at 2011-08-20 blacked up the wheels i think some bullet caps will work well on here? By psychosuperminx at 2011-08-20 and just to provide some temporary hidden storeage I did this, it's just fablon and a sticker from Fast Car Magazine By psychosuperminx at 2011-08-20 once it's goten through it's next mot, there will be more updates cheers for looking By psychosuperminx at 2011-08-20

I thought it looked a heck of a lot better pre-satin black but it's up to you. I'm painting my Monaco Blue Manta bright orange so I'm hardly one to talk

I'm painting my Monaco Blue Manta bright orange so I'm hardly one to talk yeah I liked the blue, I would have kept it if it wasn't so tired looking, it really was patchy flaking and various shades of blue over filler . this winter it'll probably change colour again! but hey i'm a fan of satins and matts so it worked out well for me

ok, it's been a while since I updated this as not much has happened, Moved house MOT expired and it sat in the garage looking sorry for itself. It's now in the process of being re commisioned. First off it failed it's mot tyres (perished) duff handbrake and rear wheel cylinder, and an exhaust so holey it fell off in my hand. so a trip to a place of repair was arranged (Dez's Place) then this happened wheel cylinder replaced and a new exhaust fabricated , side exit to save time and effort, it's not ideal location wise (close to spring) and will be revised but for the moment to get a pass it'll stay. I got some ford KA wheels off ebay for super cheap so that gave me legal tyres and new slightly wider steels, though the offset means they sit a bit further in. cheeky little pipe sticking out. I've also sprayed the wheels up , don't know yet if they'll stay like that I've also removed the spots and grille badge and replaced it with an old belt buckle I then drank too much cider and decided to decorate the boot :S and finally, a plan . It sits far too high at the front as you can see so it'll need to be dropped. I like the raked look so I'll probably just drop the front, the rear springs have sagged anyway so it looks dropped the wrong way a very shoddy photofiltre pic but you get the idea it's also going gloss black soon as I've become fed up with keeping the satin clean. updates to follow after second MOT attempt tomorrow am. cheers
