I use Hexis www.hexis.co.uk and never had any problems, their cast is lovely to use, I occasionally used to use Victory's own brand vinyl which was OK till they shut the trade counter and made everything bloody hard work! Hexis are/ were also easy to set up an account with, next day delivery to and no minimum order as long as you're willing to pay the carriage, it was carriage free over £100 or 100m can't remember which. Are you working from a PC or MAC? I started off on MAC's then went to PC's (yes I know this is just wrong for artwork) hence I currently use Freehand (7 or 10) for artworking and then chuck it over to Flexisign for cutting only, I also have signlab but never got around to getting familiar with it Be prepared to spend significant amounts of money on the software.....What vinyl cutter did you buy, Most of the cheapy chinese cutters come bundled with some cutting software, so all you really need is a freeware vector drawing program that will export into a format your cutting software will accept. Or you could hit one of the torrent sites.....most sign software needs some sort of dongle to operate properly though. Be aware if it's also a wide format printer they need to be used to print regularly or they dry up in a most expensive fashion.

I quite like Sign Blazer Elements as it has the key word of "free!" Does everything I need it to and its pretty simple to use. Top of the line would be something like Flexisign, but expect to pay a 4 figure sum for it. I use Inkscape for vectorising, again free! For vinyl I tend to use Oracal 651 as a minimum from www.thevinylcorporation.co.uk I did try using the budget vinyls but for the sake of an extra £1 per metre its really not worth it as I ended up throwing more away than i used as it wouldn't weed properly. Which machine did you get?
