Impending house move means my beloved Mercedes 190 had to be sold Not impressed, but needs must.
Was telling a friend of mine my tale of woe, and she mentioned she might be able to help with the 'retro motor' fix I was so desperately missing, and cheaply too!
So, step forward my new toy. Little premature posting it as I've not been able to get it home yet - firstly it doesn't run, and secondly I'm not quite sorted with the house move yet. Still...
This is what greeted me at the lockup this afternoon. Car was driven in here some time 2007 we think.
Mmm, mouldy. Nice seats though.
That'll need a decent wash and wax!
Looks pretty solid though....
It's actually really solid under all the crud, I can't find any rust on the tailgate, for example, and it's pretty good (though not perfect) under those grey trims. 147k on the clock which I'm not bothered by, completely standard as far as I'm aware (please correct me if I'm wrong, I know very little about these!). Also comes with another set of alloys too.
Properly stoked with the new purchase and can't wait to get it home. Only problem is the wife's pointed out I'll have loads of DIY to do as soon as we complete on the new house, and that's assuming it all goes through! But even if it doesn't at least I have a new toy...
I'm nowhere near as mechanically talented as most of the people on here, however happy doing the basics which (I hope) is most of what this will need. Will slowly update over time with luck!
