Model: Rover Metro Advantage,
Year: 1990
Mileage: 80000ish
Tax: Oct 2011
MOT: Jan 2012
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Price: £1000
Right, just testing the water really, but could possibly do with cash and space,
She is a lovely 1990 Rover Metro Advantage in fantastic Cherry Red, according to How Many Left she is 1 of only 10 currently on the road and 1 of 25 known to DVLA as either taxed or sorned.
Mileage is in the reason of 80000ish, has a folder full of previous mots and receipts and a fully stamped service book until they ran out of space.
It flew straight thru the last mot with only a couple of advisorys (slightly rusty rear floor pan, but soild)
I have done a lot of work to her, not because she needed it, but because I wanted to, all the wheels where refurbished professionally and had new yoko a539 175/50/13's fitted less than 500 mile ago. All the brakes where replaced, new calipers, braided hoses, pads, discs, rear drums, cylinders and shoes, and fresh fluid.
Bodywork
I have fitted two brandnew genuine front wings, and a replacement drivers door, all painted up professionally including the bodykit and new front and rear bumpers, it hasn't got any side stripes at the moment, (not located any yet) there has been a couple of previous repairs to the sills, just under where the bodykit bolts thru the sill and on the rear valance towards the nearside. The scuttle has started to go at the side of the o/s wiper arm.
Interior
It has a rover 100 dash fitted complete with heater box so it all interacts properly, MG carpet, the red one, has been fitted along with GTi seats and door cards fitted. Rev counter clocks, proper A series rev counter dash pod has been installed.
Engine
The standard 1275 is still fitted complete with a maniflow 3:1 manifold and a seperate alloy inlet manifold, the rest is standard.
Other Business
Back in 2000 the advantage was unfortunately stolen/recovered. The insurance paid out to the owner at the time and the car got sold on. On the HPI it does have the marker against it, but there are no reports against the car now
The car will also appear on channel 4 at Christmas in the "This is England '88" special,
