Need to change the discs on our Discovery 2 (I know non retro sorry), might as well fit grooved discs (Britpart) and heavy duty (EBC) pads while I'm doing it. Do I need to tell my insurance company (NFU)? Future plans for the Disco are better shocks (std height), polybush, silicon hoses and EGR removal. Mark ps Retro picture... First time in US, New Hampshire in January (lots of snow and very cold) and this is the hire car I had Pontiac Trans Am. Ended up doing 3 complete spins on an ice covered interstate, thankfully without hitting anything.

in would tell them just to be on the safe side as at the mo they will look for ANY reason not to pay out, if you try the "they make it stop better so its safer" angle they shouldnt charge you anymore

Yep, you have to tell them, as you're differing from the manufacturers specification. ANY change should be logged with them, regardless of what it effects, just to stop them being able to get out of paying out should the worst happen. As Copey says, it shouldn't effect your premium much, if at all, but they still need to know about it.

Thought so, hopefully NFU will be used to people messing about with Land Rovers...
Thanks for the responses.
Mark
Edited: Spoke to NFU no real issue but better to notify it, blanking the EGR should be OK as well...
