I hate to say this, but that is absolutly awful. It looks like an anteater that has been dropped from a great height. I think it is too narrow with long overhangs. I usually love a wedge of a car; Stratos, Esprit, Countash, MR2, 480, all float my boat a great deal, but this really doesn't.

It's definitely a unique design, roofline is the killer for me.

That is unutterably beautiful. It literally makes no sense. Perfect.

The whole coke bottle shape to the sides was well in the realm of production cars by '68 so I actually find this to be quite conservative for a design of that time. I like it but I think there are other concepts I'd prefer. in wedge terms, the Countach shape was only 3 years away.

This was not a concept as such. It was a one off designed and built by Michellotti for his own family. The car was fairly recently found and has been fully restored by the DAF museum in Eindenhoven where it is now on display. Have a few more DAF concept cars. How about another wedge concept the 44S This is the interior of the siluro Project P300 33 replacement Lots more here. It helps if you can read dutch but the pics are well worth looking at anyway. www.siteje.com/dafalbums/bijzonder.html

I think if someone photoshopped the roofline about 8" lower it would look fantastic, as it is it looks a little like the popemobile.
