From a car that's complete but left standing! It's not an ancient thing, but interesting to see how a car can be totally eaten away. RS1600i: A bit of arch rust: Algae: Jesus! The whole front end has detached: From this great thread.

That's scary just how bad the 'Scort has rotted. Wonder if the owner is pleased with their result after 18 years standing in a field?

In before "I've taxed worse" I came across a similar sight - a W108 Mercedes that had been parked in a damp, dark barn. At initial glance it looked intact but as we got closer it rapidly became apparent that the whole bottom half of the car had just turned into rusty lace. It was both terrifying, hillarious, a shame and massively cool - all at the same time.

Ha ha, look at the tat fallen from the boot of the Victor. And as for the Escort front end 'when battery trays turn bad' ;D It's a shame and all that though I love seeing rusty old cars, something pretty about natural decay.

I knew the battery trays in those were a rust trap, but that's a bit extreme
