I'm re-modelling the bumpers and sideskirts with firbreglass and filler, just wondering on everyone's views on wet sanding vs dry for shaping/flatting down.
Watching overhauling they seem to dry sand most of the time but american hotrod are often wet sanding.
I did one side dry and it took forever, created lots of dust and paper kept clogging with old paint, the other I've started doing wet and it seems a lot quicker, quite messy (better than dusty) and a better finish.
Obviously with it being wet it needs to dry out before any filler can be added so that's one disadvantage.
Any other views on this??
Sorry for the boring question here's some amphibious vehicles (wet and dry, see what I did there )......
