We've moved to a cracking
new old house...with no garage,or even parking- it has to sit in the car
park in the town centre.. and it'd be a shame to see it go downhill from it being exposed to the weather all year round..
1985,pre plastic door strips- metallic black, which I think is the original
colour, with tan leather which is excellent. 1300 Uno turbo engine which is , very strong and boosts perfectly- the turbo is good with no wear, gearbox is also good with no jumping out
of gear. No cooling problems and heater is very good also. Gran Finale OZ wheels which are good, but could do with a polish. Near new matching tyres all round. I think it was professionaly converted by
X1/9 Files? Brakes all rebuilt- Uno turbo discs and calipers on the
front. Body work is good, with no rust, but has had attention in the past- and has had a replacement arch fitted to the drivers rear- good job though. Underside /inner arches /boot corners are very good, no worries here.
Its been fitted with a remote central locking and alarm, works
perfectly. It does need a new passengers electric window switch.
It's been sitting in a garage
since 2006 when the window was smashed up until earlier this year when I got it, and was again garaged until a couple of weeks ago.
Since collecting it I've :
Fitted a new LUK 3 piece clutch kit,- started slipping when I increased
the boost
Sorted out all the brakes, and replaced the drivers rear caliper + hose+
new rear pads- brakes were all seized solid
Fitted a drivers quarterlight window
Fitted a new crank sensor- died after a couple of days..
Full service- oil and filters. Oil has been changed again since with
good Mobil oil
New timing belt
New drivers inner CV boot
New halogen headlamps
Repaired the wiper motor- no intermittent and wouldn't park
New spotlights wired to main beam
Coolant flush and refill with Good quality coolant
Cheap crappy CD player, with replacement speakers
Boost gauge in centre console
Adjustable boost valve in boot
Baileys twin piston dump valve- yes its goes "PSSSHHHTTTT" every
gearchange like a Subaru
New heavy Duty Battery
Some boost hoses replaced with silicon, and new proper Jubilee clips
Probably lots more I've forgotten- I've been using it every day since
back and forward to work- 60 mile round trip daily. Never a problem.
Has about 10.5 months MOT and about 4 months tax- will have to double check.
Needs a passengers outer CV boot
Drivers seat jammed fully back, not a hassle if you are over 5ft8!
£1200 o.n.o or
Looking for a big touring bike, BMW K or R, Kwak ZZR1100 or GTR, or a big Triumph. Something like that. Europe is calling again....
