This has been on my mind for a long time, but it's come to the point where I'm fed up of worrying about money and with something sat on my driveway that could solve it all in one go with a really heavy heart I am advertising my 1953 RHD Oval.
Ok, so it came over from South Africa in 2005 when the owner of wolfrace wheels owned it, since then its changed hands a couple of times but I've been lucky enough to own it for the last two years using it as my daily driver :-)
Its MOT'd until January 27th so good to go to the festivals and shows this summer!! Obviously tax exempt, has a disc until march next year sorted already.
It runs with a 1300TP engine which runs really well, recently needed a new fuel pump and now thats changed its back to its smooth running self!
Work needed wise, at the moment its pretty set to use daily if you'd like to, I spent £1800 MOT'ing at the beginning of the year.
If you want to take it to a show standard it would require work, it has got signs of filler in certain areas, but not a scary amount either!! (on the drivers side, a section just on the panel which included the door pillar, and a section behind the door also) It has its semaphores but its been upgraded to 12V so these currently aren't wired in but I have a voltage step down thingy that would go with the car so its just a case of wiring that all up if you want those to work.
I started a history folder for it, it has a lot of history from since its been in the UK (since 2005) and its Wolfsburg birth certificate just to proove its 1953 build.
I'm sure I've missed loads of info out so ask as many questions as you like!!
Price wise I am really looking for £5000, to be honest if nobody is interested at that price I'd probably keep it as I don't really want to let it go for less, I don't see the point in selling it if I can't clear all loans etc, I don't want to be Oval-less with debt aswell!!
I am in Chichester, West Sussex
Heres some pictures, if you would like any more of specific areas let me know:
(no back seats...but it is quite low so having passengers in the back doesn't really work!!)
