I'm selling these on behalf of a friend, who unfortunately doesn't know much about them - except what I've managed to find out.
They're presumably handbuilt 'presentation' sets built to celebrate "The 20th Anniversary of Jean Ragnotti's Tour De Course Outright Victory, 1985"."
I think they might have been put together by Mike Coombe, former driver and proprietor of Midland Racing Models in Rugby. Unfortunately he's now passed on, so information about these is scarce.
The models themselves, however, are very nicely detailed IXO 1:43 version of both a Renault 5 Turbo and Renault 5 Maxi turbo.
Both have five inscribed plates, four of which have been personally signed by racing and rally drivers Jean Ragnotti, Patrick Tambay, Rene Arnoux and Jean-Pierre Jaussaud.
If anyone's interested, please feel free to have a look at the eBay links below for a little more detail - but likewise, if you know of someone who might be interested, it'd be much appreciated if you could forward them on or point them in this direction.
They're both presented in the same manner, in identical cases (although obviously the signatures are all individual, as you'd expect!) so make a great presentation piece, either on their own or as a pair.
