Been thinking about how to do the rear lights on the CF. the standards are horrible big clumsy affairs so need sorting. I thought about frenching them, then slotted frenching them but it has been done a million times before. Ive even taken to trawling through the classic section on ebay looking at rear light clusters but the only glimmer of inspiration so far was caddilac deville clusters which would certainly be different but I'm still kinda unsold, so, any ideas for a different approach? Have some custom rears for your troubles.....

I find those vans very strange, don't really understand that scene, I have come across a few of them and although I wouldnt own one they do intrigue me I like these, its very nicely done and suits the van down to the ground but possibly wouldnt work on mine, plus they have been done And this is nice and clean looking....

a thing to note is the bottom ones are both dogs so could be lost and just the two used and if you are extremely lucky van aaken engineering made 300 sets of fully clear lamps but they NEVER appear on the bay!!

Only saw this today but i think it might work on the back of you're van Third break lights by the look of it, although you would need to do them vertically, or diagonally if you could get shorter units.

It's possibly been done to death, but I'm fond of early Econoline rear lights: Very clean. Hide the other lights in the windows, like on a TVR --Phil

I,m fitting Fiat Brava lights to my Morris Minor but as they are double curvature they are a right ****** to fit. I don't think they would fit to a CF at all easily.

If it's a CF2 then yeah, those lights are pretty hideous. I'd be tempted to just go with some OEM lights from a Ford, Chevy or Dodge van of the same era. Shouldn't be too hard to fit either.

How about... Citroen DS roofline lights Citroen SM back panel Ford Capri, rotate 90 degress to match curve of sides better. Fiat X-19, mounted vertically rather than horizontally.

I've been thinking about this myself recently and I recon late 60's/early 70's american van lights are the way to go on a cf. That blue van above is just about perfect, plus you can probably get repro ones from the states too.

Some good stuff here, I'm liking the econoline and the capri lights alot, the oem lights would suit but I'm wanting quite a smooth clean look to the back which is different enough to be noticed but suble enough to blend in... does that make sense? I would like to stay away from large squarish sets as the standard ones are very large and very squarish! Although, in the back of my mind I keep coming back to these.....
