compared to yours mine was mint 3 months would of took me 3 years top work m8

cheers, it was made easier as the first owner coated the underneath in thick grease so when i scraped it all off it mint underneath. shame abot the top side lol. re built both a pillars,front crossmember, sills and arches etc. last major thing now is the roof skin. i found it in a barn which it had sat in for 20 years. bless it itll be back with avengence soon enough

That's utterly awesome, well done.
The Mk2 is my favourite Capri so it's good to see one getting some love.

yeah cheers guys, been in the garage each night for a couple of hours even through the snow.any chance i get I'm on it and no I'm not single lol. front valance put on tonight and repaired head lamp bowl. still waiting for more panels to turn up so progress is a bit slow at the mo

was offered 3 mk2's 3 or 4 years back 3.0 ghia £400, 1.6gl £150 and a very rough but complete black J.P.S £150 all since sold wish i'd bought at least one of them now the mk2 capper's getting rare now can't wait to see this one finished good luck with the hunt for parts m8

quick up date, bottoms up!! started to seam weld the all the chassis points today and any join in the floor. its alot easier when its on its side i can tell you. you can also see just how good this 33 year old piece of tin is ps its not just held up with a piece of wood,its also tied to the rafters

heya mate,this is my mk2 Capri Drag Car it took me 10 years to build,it was in a sad state like yours at the beginning...its the only mk2 racing down under as far as I'm aware. for some reason I can't upload a pic on this forum? check out 'Rompa Stompa Racing' on Face book.cheers!
