Can anyone help? I bought the mirrors from Davey869's 1985 250 series car that he is breaking, and would like to know what each wires function is before I go stabbing it with a power probe or the like. I have searched a bit on Google and can't find anything. I will try other models now. I doubt I would break the motors from using trial and error, but I would prefer not to risk it if possible As said, the mirrors in question come from a 250 series President, but the 150 also has electric mirrors so should be the same. I was thinking that possibly Cedric or other models from around the same time will also share the same wiring colour codes. Or indeed anything Nissan from the same time period. Here is what I have: SwitchYellow Blue with yellow trace Black Blue with white trace Green Blue with red trace MirrorsBlue with red trace Blue with yellow trace Yellow Black I will check some Nissan FSM's I already have to see if the colours are the same, but I doubt it seeing at the others I have are from 90's cars which use OBD II. The series car/mirror shape in question. As is the custom here, have a few cool pics for your trouble. Thanks, Liam.

Consider 80's nissan FSM's if possible. DOubt you can get much further back. I found a 240z North American wiring schematic but it is for door mounted mirror version so unpowered.
Thought about trying the guys over on JapaneseNostalgicCar?

LOL @ generic reply as if we don't know one another colonhuff!
I am considering 80's ones if you read my post lol. I wouldn't have thought the Z's even with wing mirrors wouldn't have been electric. It seems to be higher spec 'luxury' models only from my limited knowledge of these things. Wonder what the Skylines and co got. I could ask the guy up the road with the Hakosuka wannabe and Iron Mask. I'm looking for an excuse to become friends lol!

As if we don't know eachother? Think you have me confused with someone else Original Poster.
Dave over on GTROC. don't think he has much older stuff apart from the Hako. And even so they are unpowered fender mirrors. I do know Alan (HS-30 iirc) is well up on vintage datsun/nissan and may be able to point you in the right direction. Worth an ask though. Have you considered wasting an evening at a Nissan main dealer? Or on a slightly more serious note I could have a look at S14a switch pin outs and see where they go in the mirrors if thats any good to you?
btw I need my Impact Gun back shortly

Just say when for the Snap-On mate!
S Body will be no good as it's OBD II. Dave's would be no good as you say cos Hako's have manual mirrors. Maybe a GT-X etc didn't though?
I just thought, I will ask Ant Dat. He will be a good bet!

GT-X was lower spec so I would assume, if the GTR didnt (Clone or not), the GT-X wouldn't either.
I'm not sure what relevance the OBD-II has to the mirrors. I plugged the original switch in and just had to add 2 wires for the folding function. All of them (apart from ground and power) went to the door looms, not into any control modules etc.
What about other Japanese makes from that era? Ask google and see if he has any 70's Toyota FSM's about?

GT-X is lower yeah, but it also isn't a stripped out model... A moot point though IMO.
The car that donated it's folding mirrors to your S14a runs the same style wiring. Older stuff is different dude.
No sense looking at other makes. The colours will 95% be different. I wonder who makes these mirrors, Ichiko again? lol

If I can find it, I have a wiring diagram for my Cedric Hardtop. That has electric fender mirrors from the factory so presumably the diagram will show the wiring. I'll see if I can find it when I get in this evening.
