More cutting away this weekend, not really much to show so no pictures this week, repair panel for rear floor is ready to be welded, but unfortunatley I ran out of gas... after leaving the valve open with a small leak...
Should be the start of some welding this week and hopefully finish one side by the end of next week.

any special plans for the rust protection while you're in there? Not sure what to do with it at the moment, I will treat it with something... just not sure what to use! Any suggestions?

Going to put this out there... I would like to this work!
Essentially I have no idea what I am doing... I have some experience with html/css and currently self teaching Javascript, PHP and MySql. The plan is to provide an online platform for car enthusiasts to buy and sell cars, parts and accessories. Initially for the UK market, but eventually it may be possible to expand this to other countries. I am writing this based on a template, which wants to know the size of my company... I don’t have a company (yet) and don’t turnover any money, and I don’t employ anyone... and have no budget! Until this point I have used AutoJungle to learn the basics of CSS and HTML, along with proving that it is plausible to create something works, and poeople can visit. I have also used it to learn a bit more about GoogleAds, Webmaster Tools and Google analytics. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The plan is to create a place that users can buy and sell cars, parts. I don’t plan on reaching the money guzzling heights of eBay or Autotrader, but instead create a community run environment which pays for itself, whilst teaching me new skills. To keep up with modern technology it is important to have a site that is accessible on any device. I have noticed on AutoJungle currently that around 47% of users visit from a mobile, 41% from desktops and laptops and the remaining 22% on tablets and other devices. Predominantly an advertising site, a small amount of Google ads on a page should provide enough income to cover the running costs as long as usage remains high. This will be particularly important at launch, as lets face it, who wants to visit an empty site... I am happy to take this at a relatively slow pace on an as long as it takes pace, I simply don’t have any budget for this at this stage and plan on doing a lot of the work myself or with the volunatry help of others. Competitors as such as few and far between, there doesn’t seem to be anyone who deals with just cars and parts, AutoTrader could be considered similar in the car advertising sense, but working on a smaller scale and not the large outgoings of their company the plan is to keep prices very low, or simply not charge at all. eBay will naturally be listed as a go to for parts, whilst it will be difficult to break this mould it would be great to provide another platform for selling items without the cost, it would differ from eBay in the sense that it is not an auction site. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fresh and clean, keeping things simple. It needs to work, easy to navigate, search and submit items. Ability to upload images and search by a gallery view as well as having text listings is important. Content will essentially be user submitted, relying on voluntary admins to ensure any problem users and/or items are quickly removed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Technical understanding of how to build a site! I do have technical limitations at present, so will need some help with this, hopefully some helpful volunteers can lend a hand or perhaps point me to some self teaching content to enable me to do this. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Once created and tested, it will be important to spread the word, a large influx on the initial launch will help to create an environment for people to return... its difficult not to underestimate this... I have seen forums launched recently which without the regular update of users simply hit rock bottom. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ***To sum up everything written above... I want to create an online classifieds site with a system for users to submit items, contact eachother, and browse a large variety of cars, parts and accessories at little or no cost to the user... I have some experience but would love to get advice and feedback from others to make this a reality!*** Mad perhaps... but you have to try... whose with me?

Anyone had anymore thoughts about this, I have a basic understanding of web design, and some coding (currently self teaching) and need a project, even if it doesnt work, it would be a great way to teach myself some more and hopefully provide me with plenty of knowledge
Advice please!!!

I think I would buy a Fiat Panda 4x4 and change it to an apocolyptic survival machine... completely OTT with chequer plate, shovel, axe, huge roof rack and mesh windscreen gaurd, big tyres and snow chains...
More realisticly I'll just use the Fiesta with chains if it gets that bad...

Thanks The car is now pretty much shell only... I'm on a strict plan to get this done ASAP... I need to clear that garage ASAP but cant weld/grind/paint in my new garage. Now its a bare shell, this weekend we should be taking note of which panels will need replacing and get them ordered, then some pre Christmas chop and replace...

Front end is now prepped and ready for the new panel, driver flitch panel needs replacing as well as the bodged floor... I should be heading down there tomorrow for some more tinkering...

More updates... with the front subframe out... it was time for the rear, I blasted it with wd40 and left it for a couple of days... Came out easy with no broken bolts... a mini miracle! This weekend I decided to start the bodywork, a quick look at the front end... ... I wasnt happy, so I brought the angle grinder from hibernation and took the front panel off... a little tidying, with still more to go!
