Simplest way to put this is big gauges around £15 each (rev and speedo) and small gauges £8 each. Crazy cheap but clears some stuff out!!
Postage at cost, so a gauge will probably be less than a fiver, if it's a box full then it's probably easiest to courier them and will be around £8-10.

I'm sure I can put a set of carbs together, I can perhaps even put together a set of 1 3/4 on a manifold.

Right quick dirty clear out. Some of these bits may be heading to ebay later.
Set of seats out of an MGB, 2 fronts and 1 rear base. Grotty to be honest but usable. Good frames. Late recliners. 4 bolt flat floor mounting so good for kit cars etc. £10
Midget tonneau covers. various.
Smiths gauges, literally tens if not hundreds. Speedos/rev counters/temp/fuel/oil pressure. No clocks, no 6/8cyl rev counters. 80mm and 100mm main gauge sizes.
MGB front suspension (late type, used for V8 conversions or cobra kit cars), loads of lever arms front and rear for MGB and Midget, I have refurbed units and rough core units.
MGB engine, bit special, has been rebuilt, it's an early 18v (the one to use) from a chrome bumper car, can be fitted to a chrome or rubber bumpered car. Has the light weight crank fitted, 2709 big valve head (think from memory it's been ported too), +40 pistons giving circa 1840cc. Literally been run in and then removed from car for v8 conversion. £150 Head removed to prove bore condition (still crosshatched) but will replace head with new gasket or supply new gasket to new owner.
MGC engine, I'd like to keep the head, but open to offers on the rest.
I have boxes and boxes of bits, loads of late 1275/1500 Midget indicator/light stalks and just loads of tat. Ask if you need anything!

No-one want these? Just had a quick polish of the good lensed one and it comes up ok.
Other one same condition but really wants a new glass to be good.

Pair of chrome bullet mirrors (the streamlined 2 bolt fixing ones, about £13 each from ebay).
curse word condition, chrome should come up ok though, both bolts present on each mirror and not sheared off so simple to fit. One mirror fogged though.
I'm thinking a fiver plus post at around £4.
First to say yeay gets em. The big green Mr Sulo gets them after a week!

With respect John we did a deal once that went sour, irrespective of whether it was yours or my fault it went sour our personalities clash substantially.
I appreciate your offer it was certainly decent of you especially considering the history, but I'm a believer in following my gut when it comes to things like this.

I really need a bonnet picking up from Bolton and getting in to the East Yorks sort of area, it just won't fit in my saloon car due to back seats not folding but it's not a big panel at all (MGB bonnet) will fit in an MGBGT actually so will fit in anything including corsa size hatches!
Only catch is it's alloy so quite fragile, but I'll happily pay quite well for anyone coming this way, at least £30, if you want to be a total gem then I also need 5 wheels picking up from Halifax which is on the way back here.
Let me cross your palm with silver (or paper lol).

MGBGT 1978 Unknown mileage (speedo reads 38000, more likely to be 138000) 6 months tax 12 months mot Located in East Yorks on the east coast near Driffield. £1100 negotiable. Contact by PM or on thread and I'll send a telephone number to call me on. Right about the car! "George" is Emma my girlfriends car, she has run "him" for about 2 years now, I can honestly say in that time the car hasn't let her down once, it was a local car we bought after viewing it and replaced her daily boring car, and gets driven circa 30 miles to and from work most days. Consequently mechanically it is spot on, all the little quirks on these cars tend to show themselves on cars that aren't used much, but to run through the points of this car: Engine, runs sweet as a nut, good oil pressure, doesn't leak or use oil or water, the common leak from the head joint is not present on this car!! The engine uses good quality 20/50 oil and gets changed every 2500 miles (service interval 3k) and is filled with 50/50 anti freeze. The engine is also a good one, anyone who has had MGBs (I've had about 20 now!!) knows that there are good and bad engines in these, with some feeling flat as hell, this one is lively and good fun to drive. Gearbox, overdrive works perfectly, doesn't jump out of gear, no whines/howls/crunches and oil was changed about 6k ago. Back axle again oil changed recently (6k ago) no whines/howls or clunks. New rad fitted about a year ago. Full front suspension rebuild about a year ago. Including shocks and bushes. Rear suspension is in good order. Full front brake and rear brake rebuild about 6 months ago. No work needed for a long time. No mechanical issues I can pick up on to be honest at all, likewise all electrics work as they should. Interior wise mostly new, dash is tidy, all gauges work, comes with radio/mp3 player. Seats are in the process of being recovered, drivers is done already the other 3 will be done by next week, being recovered with original MG black velour seat covers as original, only replacing the old covers due to slight bagginess of them, the interior looks fantastic already! New black carpet set and good doorcards. Bodywork, there must be a catch right? Well sort of, but not really, the bodywork is solid and honest, but it has had half back wings on in the past, and if I'm being critical they weren't fitted fantastically, they are solid and totally presentable but not up to my standards, then again if I were restoring a car to concourse level it wouldn't be for sale at £1100, the paintwork is scruffy from various repairs over the years too. The plan was to respray it, I'm still happy to do this provided the price increases accordingly. That said the car is a pleasure to use as is as a budget fun car, a gorgeous paint finish may make you less likely to have fun in it who knows? What I can say is there doesn't seem to be any serious structural rot anywhere, there is of course bits of surface rust but these get caught early and repainted hence the patchy paintwork. I'm being mean actually because when the cars cleaned and polished it looks nice as the picture shows. So to recap, will have 12 months MOT, 6 months tax, stereo left in, has 4 nearly new tyres, new brakes and suspension, I'll service it for the buyer for £1100, if you want it painting too then I'd want more like £1600. Either way it's a bargain! Attachments:
