Great Mojo boost to get some paint on I remember having doubts, when I first started following this thread, that this would ever get finished. But hats off to you, you've persevered where many a mortal man would have thrown in the towel ages ago. Well Done Mel

Hi Tony Being new to this site I must just say what an inspiration you have been to anyone who wants to have a go at restoring any type of car, I have started to restore my very first project a 1963 Vauxhall Victor deluxe.Unfortunately I have made a fatal error,I have cut away the inner wings cleared up but but forgot to take the measurements, ( getting to excited about the project). Do you have the measurements for the inner wing panels you made on your forum please? PHIL. Phil Sorry, I didn't take a note of any of the sizes, if you can let me know what sizes you need, I can see if I can get them from Gordon for you

Tony, I just wanted to repeat what many others have said about the fantastic stuff that you have posted on here - thank you very much indeed. I enjoy fabricating but my abilities are pretty limited. I will be investing in a folding machine on Monday, so that will help immensely. I just wondered if you might consider posting a detailed plan for your own metal folder. It would make life a lot easier to have something like that to hand as well (in my humble opinion anyway). All the best. Vilppi - excellent work with that floor pan, and great use of everyday objects as formers Oli - 1mm for most of the panels, 1.5mm for chassis parts, I get mine from a local steel stockholder, but I'm sure your local Motorfactors should be able to help I was recently asked by a forum member how I would make some wheel tubs, something like the next pic, but with more shape to the edge detail So I started with a bit of 20mm round bar and a bit of 1mm Zintec Dress over with a mallet Then into the shrinker The shrinker only curves one side, so you just need to ease the rest round as you go, until you have this Mark out the inner and joddle the edge, one of those Rollastep joddlers would have been good for this curve, but I don't have one Then spot weld Grind smooth to remove any imperfections and then DA with an 80 grit disc Obviously this is just a sample size

I'll find out where Gordon got it from, but I do know that he sent them a sample of the original vinyl and they mixed it to match
He was very happy with the results, and anyone who knows Gordon, knows he's even more fussy than I am

For me that would depend on how severe the rust was and how widespread it was If it was confined to just the bottom, then I would be tempted to just cut and weld in a section, and leave as much of the original in place.
If on the other hand it is widespread, then rather than making several small repairs it would indeed makes sense to replace the complete section
Hope that helps
