Found this on Google
On average most users on these forums have said they use no more than 200MB per month.
I'm on an unlimited data plan with T-Mobile UK as I consider myself a heavy user. Waze follows me in my Taxi 4-5 nights a week and I've used 59.84MB in 9 days averaging 6 hours a night. So that's around 220MB per month for me.

I use Waze and its better than my Garmin sat nav. I'm not sure what it's like on data use.

I've seen things like this a few times, cars sat forever doing nothing but the owner won't sell.
I found a wide body Carlos Sainz Celica GT4 covered in green mould sat on a driveway 20 miles from me. I tried knocking and got no answer and I wrote a letter which I left and never got a reply.
Shame about that charger, it would be lovely to see it back on the road, but it would have to be done by someone who really knows what they are doing with them.

Perhaps the orange lenses are reflectors, it might help if you were broken down with the bonnet up.

Here's a list of all the models of e34 sold, scroll down it and there's a big table with all the engines used. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_5_Series_(E34)I'd be tempted to find a donor car like a scruffy 1992 onwards 530 and use the V8 from that.

Here's something I've never seen before. A new range called mystery models. The bags are sealed so it's a lucky dip as to what you get. £2 to buy, so I thought I'd gamble and buy just one and see what was inside. A bit of a waste of money, you get a car, a sticker and a sheet. There are 12 cars and only 1 looks any good to me, I only like the cars based on real ones, I don't like the made up ones. So I won't be buying another one of these.

The better solution would be to get a second car. I bought an avant tdi for £600, it's does 55mpg, you could get family and kids and piles of stuff in it. That's just an example, but there's tons of other sub £1000 cars you could buy for a family run around and still keep the caterham.

It sounded a good car for the money, no wonder it went quickly.

I have just got one back to my yard, the property of my future son in law. It is a 95 2.0GTi-16 targa in red and green from having spent the last 2 years parked under a tree. Having put a battery on it however, it fired up immediately and ran smoothly and sweetly and I was able to drive it onto my towing dolly for the recovery and off at the other end. The brakes work up to a point and there are no obvious gaping holes in the body though I have to say I didn't look that hard whilst trying to recover it in Saturdays downpour! Since my daughter has just given birth to twin boys, the car is a bit surplus and the only reason I got involved was because the storage was being lost and it was that or weigh it in! As is and where is (south east Shropshire, near Kidderminster) we were thinking that £300 is about fair. If you are interested, I will take some pics tomorrow and post them on here. Obviously it would need to be recovered somehow not involving driving it away! One further proviso is that the V5 has gone missing during recent shenanigins with moving and WHY, but a full receipt will be given. Steve That's sounds decent for the money but it's realistically going to be summer when I get something. If you'd been local I would have taken a punt on it, but you are a good 3 hours from me and by the time I pay for it to be transported it'll probably cost me double.

Regarding tools when did the manufactures swap from imperial to metric? Don't want a ton of tools i don't need. Good question. I don't own a single imperial tool. Not sure when then switch was, but from early 80s fords onwards and into early 90s J stuff, metric has been fine all the time for me.

I just went for a walk to the local shops. I went to home bargains, all they had was the multi packs of 5 cars and I don't like those ones. Then I went to poundworld and poundland, neither had any hotwheels. On the way out I went to Wilcos and again I couldn't see any, then just as I was about to leave I noticed a big blue box on the bottom shelf. I shouted for Mrspeanut to come back and we went though the box. There were a lot of cars I wanted, but I picked my favourite 5. I was really happy to finally find a mini. I got a real treat at the checkout, the custom truck at the top right of the pic would not scan into the till. The girl on the till called a senior member of staff over, and it turned out the car wasn't on the system so they couldn't sell me it. The senior person dropped it in my bag and let me have it for free. I was over the moon, it's only a cheap car for free but it made my day.

You can have a retro car and not worry about working on it. A few years ago I bought a Capri for £1000 and it started and worked every time. All I did was out petrol in and drive it. Just because a car is retro does not mean you have to constantly work on it fixing things.
But, do you want an old car to drive around in? or are you more interested in buying a project car that needs fixing up? The celica in my picture was under £1000 and it ran like a watch.
Don't worry about never having picked a spanner up. I'm self taught at mechanics, I can do basic stuff like servicing. Buy a tool kit, and a Haynes manual and it's not hard at all to pick up the basics.
I bought a cheap engine crane off a local lad and swapped an engine in a cortina on my drive way. I had never done anything like it in my life and I had it done in a weekend. I didn't really know what I was doing. I just unbolted everything I could see from the engine, found the mounts and undid them and lifted it out. Put the new one in, and bolted everything back onto it.
Also once you start going to retro car meets in your area, you are bound to find new friends that will be happy to help you out with the spanners.

I would love the turbo model. Always wanted the celica gt4 turbo too. Unfortunately there's no chance of me getting a turbo mr2 this year as funds are low while I'm on a 12 month training course for my new job. To get a car for the gathering, I'll have a grand at the most.

The only oldskool scene is great, usually every 2 or 3 weeks there is an oldskool meet somewhere in the uk. Here's a couple of pics from the Leeds ride. Start in the centre and stop off at the town hall for a group pic, while someone in the corner is getting married, and then off for a ride around stopping for a pub lunch and a few pints. The trick is to find pubs with a good beer garden.

Cool bikes Rob. I have had loads of bmxs. Here are my main 2 bikes. This one is the bike I use for ride outs and the bmx pub crawls I go on. A 1997 Haro Zippo. I've just got this one a few months ago, a S&M L.A.F. (Stands for light as f*ck). I bought this to use on ramps but I've hardly used it to be honest. I'm getting a bit old for ramp riding (40) and I'm not very good, but I love the bmx scene and have made some great mates from going to the old skool ride outs here.

Love the Suzuki Katana, was that a Tamiya kit? Thankyou, it is rather lovely. It's a diecast one made by wits. It has amazing detail. My missus got me it for Xmas a few years ago. Quite pricey, don't think she got much change from £100. I really wanted to get more of them and start collecting 1/12 scale bikes but I'd end up skint very quickly. I had a model rgv500 hand signed by Kevin Schwantz, which I sold to help fund my bike racing, it was a big mistake to let that go.

I'm trying to get my head round what car to get for the gathering. 3 main ones I'm thinking of are, e36 BMW, xj40 Jaguar and 2nd gen MR2. I've had jags and my lass has an e36 so I know a fair bit about those. But I know little about the mr2. I'd love another celica like the one in my picture, but they are getting rarer and are slowly going up in price. Whereas the mr2, there's loads under £1000. So it's within my budget to get an early 90s one.
Anyone had one, what are they like to live with? Only thing I know is they have the solid 3s-ge engine that was in my celica.
