A dislike of cutting my car up has lead to an audio compromise. Monza: Alpine 3 disc in dash unit Sony front speakers (modern ones and the Monza has 10cm one side and 13cm the other). 6x9 in the back on BMW adaptors so they fit in the standard speaker places then an active sub because the Monza is awful for sound systems. 2300S Sony CD head unit No front end as there's nowhere to put it. Infinity 6x9 in the rear shelf which I cut many years ago and have regretted since and it's given me a phobia of cutting holes in cars.... Active sub in boot. I can listen to music and it doesn't sound as bad as the awful factory system so therefore I must be happy. Not settled on a head unit yet though. Sent from my sofa using proboards

Senator A has the same rear independent set up as the Monza. Not sure what would have a 5 stud live axle apart from the Commodore. I know the FE VX4 / 90 is live axle and 5x120 but not sure whether it's compatible or adaptable.

Can select picture, given 2 size options but that's as far as it goes.

They do make great daily commute cars. An absolute antidote to boringness.

Back on the subject, I have asked but no one is over at the moment. Let you know if that changes.
Need a car looking at or something?

Today involved an unexpected MOT due to a customer no-show. Failure due to some small rust holes. 2 are easy as peasy but there is one that may require servo out, inlet off and fuel pipes really off. Not looking forward to it and it's Beaulieu anything you want for an MG or a Morris Minor but nothing for old Vauxhalls or Opels jumble weekend so my welding time is limited.
Ho hum.

Don't think I can ever tire of seeing Brocky throwing a Holden round the track.
Thanks for sharing.

Well. My good friend Marcus (MrMouseBladder) kindly dragged this to The Gathering, it behaved perfectly too, which is nice. Then it rained. A lot. Sent from my flat using proboards

No probs, they do just pull off but I suppose by carefully I mean try to spread the load a bit, start at the top and once the first one is out you'll see how it fits. I think there are 3 clips.
Good luck.

Carefully pull or lever off toward the centre of the car. Spring clips hold them on.

Mrs MonzaPhil is back from a week of camping so I think a car based weekend is out of the question.
Work on Saturday then I think I'll migrate to the pub.
Need to wash the Monzas as they seem to have inexplicably picked up a lot of mud and grass from somewhere. . . .
Hope everyone has a good long weekend.

I'm in need but not in a particular hurry for some 9 x 17 RC090 or style 5 if you like split rims. Either 2 or 4, don't mind scruffy but ideally still round and complete.
Thanks.
