I'd hope to not need to do these things at just 50k but you best and easiest bet is to get the first set of screws to replace yours. Adjustable hydraulic tappets are a silly idea I'm sure.
If your symptoms are noisy valve train, have you checked your oil pressure? I'm guessing you've done all the tests and physical measurement is what's showing this problem.
Sadly I wouldn't like to guess where you'd turn up the bits you want.

I'm fitting a bath.....
Not to any of the cars.
Hopefully a day of off roading on Sunday depending on how the bath fitting goes.

Ford puma that I need to sell being towed round behind the merc on a borrowed trailer where ever I go as I didn't really think things through when I acquired it . . . . This made me laugh. Thank you.

Despite having to fix my sis-in-laws modern that someone kindly did a hit and run on, then having to crawl around a funky old Cortina in a slightly dusty garage, I got some time on The Manta of Doom. These bad boys provide the fearsome stopping power. I was pleased to find all the bits are new (well, they were a decade or so ago and they haven't been used, so that counts) Theses pics make it look better and worse than it is but fundamentally it's solid enough. Today's debris field. Sent from my kitchen using choppingboards

Due to the almost tropical weather here (and a (probably very temporary ) lull in bathroom fixing demands from Mrs Monzaphil) I've been outdoors doing things. Quick wipe over and some rat faeces removal from under the bonnet. I now have brake lights and indicators although the headlamps are still stuck on full beam. Wipers and washers now functioning. Heater fan unseized and run for a bit on both speeds. Happy with that. Bit of fiddling saw most if this mostly working. Nice manual choke installation. I'll have a bit of wiring and fuel pump fitting to sort out but priority is still the get it starting and running a bit better. It's mostly due to a rough ignition switch but there's a poor earth in the fuel pump and some daft wiring. Centre exhaust still needs a new silencer too. Nice to get a bit of time on it. Always have at least one spares car. The benefit of buying rusty cars is that they are cheap. Metal is easy enough to repair or replace compared to trim and specific mechanical stuff.
If you're kind to your car, it should go on for ever. (No guarantees)

On the farm today. On closer inspection it looked like it was a fresh import and has been used to smuggle filler from Minnesota. I thought filler was a legal substance. If not then this thing must have a street value well into 7 figures. Sent from my table using proboards

Hmmm, this thread will either be a roaring success or a huge failure, but you gotta have a go! Pretty successful ! Is it because we all have a soft spot for rusty old tat?

It was indeed a lucky find. Today I actually drove it out of the garage, got some pictures while making a list of things to do, then drove it back in. Here are some more pictures. That front bumper... The other end.... Unexpected bonus is another Monza wheel. Bulkhead looks sound under foam thing... Got some lights working. .... Indoors. I love sitting in cars that are growing things. It was about now that the passenger door ceased to function and impeded my escape. Wobbly wing. Nearside door bad bit. Nearside quarter bad bit. Headlining all good. Dash top all good. Nice modification. Flawless in execution. Gave the seats a quick wipe then ran away. Sent from my toilet using proboards

1.9 fuel injection.
I see a white 1.6 has appeared for sale for 10k! !!!!!!!!!
