I finished cleaning the drivers side footwell & then fitted all new sound deadening. I only used lead flashing from B&Q but I've used it before with much success. I then used foil tape on the joins. When I got home I gave the carpet it's final coat of black dye. That's 5 layers in total.

Cheers mate. This one is going to be a budget project as I want it on the road in the spring. Basic plans are; Coilovers, Brake refurb, Alloys 17x9 & 17x10. If needed poly bushes. Then I'm going to remove bumpers & wings to buy this; It's called Super sexy. Clearly true. I'm also going for 30mm overfenders & 25mm vented wings. I've got a UK bootlid to replace the jdm centre brake light. I'm on the look out for standard front seats or runners for buckets. Also some dash trim bits as a few of mine shattered as I took it apart. Anyone with parts shout me.

I'm a typical project horder & never know when to quit. So aswell as having the 200sx major project forum.retro-rides.org/thread/201674/nissan-200sx-complete-rebuildI then swapped my daily for this old rotary rocket. It's a 1987 fc3s 13b turbo & despite its appearance it's rust free & the underside is really clean. The roof is immaculate & fully working which makes a change. It has a full stainless decat turbo back exhaust, random mixed coilovers & adjustable rear arms. It was originally an auto.... for some weird reason Mazda thinks an ultimate nippy rocket should have a slush box. It now has a 5 speed kouki gearbox, upgraded clutch & all new fluids. As it was auto there is now a lot of unnecessary looms & control modules. I've also decided to minimise the over engineered engine by doing away with the oil feed pump & the vacuum emissions controls. I'll fit an alloy rad & electric fans & if I can source it I'd like a manual steering rack & brackets. So to access the looms I pulled out the interior, pulled the heater control unit & carpet. 1st job was to clean the carpet & then dye it as it was really dirty. As the carpet was out I decided to bash out all the sound deadening & clean it with thinners. I just need to finish the drivers footwell which I'll get done tomorrow. As you can see I've started on the looms by removing the auto control ecu & associated looms. Still lots more to do.

What a fantastic project. Will definitely be following this one. Can’t believe how much you’ve accomplished in just 4 days! Another car on my “probably missed the boat now list” is an R33 Skyline. Thanks chap. Yep it's easy when you know how!!! I've had a few R33's & the last one I sold was 2 years ago for £3.5k. It was immaculate & well modified. In the current market about £9k. For some reason 90's jdm has gone boom.

Good work on this, wouldn't have done anything different myself! Which ratio diff do you have in it? At the moment it's the standard s13 lsd from my original auto chassis. Eventually want a Kaaz 2 way. Might try & get skyline R33 gtst diff & drive shafts.

Oh and another thought, your America sourced headlights, would they be for a left hand drive car? If so they will project the beam pattern the wrong way and you'll dazzle on coming cars. Loving everything else. Nice attention to detail. They offered both options which I added in my order form. Nothing specified on the packaging when they arrived so I'll have to wait & see when it eventually gets an mot. I appreciate all & any feedback so any points of view or opinions are always valid.

Then the work on the engine bay began.I ordered a 9" 180 degree harley Davidson arch from a custom bike shop on ebay & began cutting up my car!!! A mate of mine did a similar thing on his S14 200SX. He used a metal 200 litre drum. He cut it so he had a strengthening bead seam up the centre. How much did you pay for the Harley arch? Arch was only £60. I looked at drums but I didn't like the results. The bike arch is really thick & sturdy & gives a good clean finish & a nice clean curve on the inner edge.

I prefer the es6 but think the es8 will look better. Not that my opinion holds any weight. I know it's a difficult choice that's my dilemma as they both suit very well. I went with the es6 originally due to this picture. Then the es8 looks like this.

5x114.3 16x7 et32 & 16x8 et32. Genuine split rims that haven't been split. One of the 7j has a small flat spot. Really unsure of value so I'll say £300 unless you guys know different. Collected from Bristol or I can courier or depending on location I could deliver.

Ye no problem, hope it helps. You're right of course as I normally have build threads on a dedicated forum to the 200sx so everyone knows the lingo. If anyone needs more info on what other Nissan models I used parts from please ask away. I'll go back through & do a bit of editing.

Not my scene but I can see the huge commitment being made here - just a point though I can't be the only one on the forum that gets lost when you track off in to code speak - RBS 13 / PS etc - to be honest most of us haven't got a clue - if you simply stated the part you sourced came off a Nissan Z350 or a Navara pick up etc it would enlighten the vast majority of us - same goes for your thread title - hope you can accept this has being constructive - good luck with the rest of the build Ye my bad I've done so many nissan projects it just runs out of me. The engine was sourced from a nissan skyline r33gtst. It's a 2.5 turbo. The ps13 is a Japanese spec car with flat headlights & square bonnet instead of the pop up headlights. It was also a saloon as opposed to the s13 which is a hatchback. It also had the option of the Sr engine which was 2 litre turbo as opposed to the 1.8 litre turbo standard in the s13 This is the standard s13 with the 1.8 litre turbo. So my car is going from the standard 1.8 4 cylinder turbo with 170 bhp to the 2.5 6 cylinder turbo from the skyline which after map will be around 380 bhp.

That pretty much brings me up to date. I have hundreds of pics of the build but these are the key ones that matter. Plans are still waiting on my tuner & for the rest of the kit to be made. Fit the kit to check quality & then fit dzus fasteners to front & rear bumpers. I've still got a few minor jobs to do like refitting the S2000 seats but minor stuff.

The car looked like this in my unit. I bought some headlights from america that are basically 4x4 options. Other than the ps13 front end which has the flat headlights, square bonnet & slightly different front wings this is now the look I'm going for. It's a narrow rocket bunny with 25mm fenders & 30mm overs with the boot spoiler. I've ordered these so hope to have them soon to sort fitment etc. I've also been busy mocking up the front bumper fitment. I'm going to use dzus 1/4 turn fittings to make removal easier. For now though self tapers will do. With this bonnet. These wings. These skirts. Eventually I'll get a carbon bonnet & bootlid but for now metal will do with some lockable aero catches.

I've also done a few mods on the exterior. It will be going for paint eventually but I want to drive it for a while 1st. Both oem bumpers had to go so first thing was a J spec bumper from magic aero. This had the smaller recess for the number plate. I had to modify the mounts to fit but it's a really good quality bit of kit. This will be sold soon though as I've since nought another kit. A guy I work for wraps cars so I gave him some trims to tidy up as they were a bit scruffy.

I've since bought an rx7 & it had some really nice honda S2000 leather seats but they sat too high in the car to be comfortable. So an afternoon with the angle grinder & some spacers & I had this. I sit nice & low & they suit the car (for now) I then took it apart painted all the brackets & dyed the seat. Massive difference in my opinion.

As the car is waiting to go to the tuner I thought I'd tidy up the interior as I'd already stripped everything out. The carpets were washed & dyed as was all the boot trim & parcel shelf. I've refitted the dash loosely as this will be in & out when the looms get hidden behind the glovebox. I also retrimmed the headliner as it was a bit tatty. I then cleaned all the seats up & refitted everything. I originally fitted the standard front seats as they are actually in really good condition.
