MkI Escort quarter bumpers.
Condition is best described as original but poor. There are a number of dents, the chrome has got plenty of rash and I can’t determine whether one’s got a kink in it. There is also a very, very small hole in one – not sure you’d notice if I didn’t say, though. Am I selling them to you??!!!
BUT, they are originals with the correct bottom lip pressing and are probably the cheapest you’ll find. I’m probably being a bit harsh with the description but there you go – they owe me £30 posted and that’s what I’d like for them.
Can email pics (once I take them…) if you drop me a pm. Sorry, haven’t got a clue how to post them up. If I could, I would etc.

I'm afraid the closest I've got is a workshop manual for the MkI, but good luck with the resto as you're most definitely a braver man than I am - I reckon there's probably a good £2k at least of 'new' panels there, so well done for biting the bullet.

A few books and manuals up for grabs:
The man in the White Suit – Ben Collins – hardback, excellent condition. The story behind the last guy who played the Stig on Top Gear. Bought by me three weeks ago. £6 posted.
Clarkson on Cars. Paperback. Nice condition and never read. Pic of him with an Allegro on the front! £3 posted.
Life at the Limit – Triumph & Tragedy in Formula 1 by Professor Sid Watkins. Paperback. Good condition and an eye-opening read, he was the doctor on site when Ayrton Senna sadly lost his life. £3 posted
The Real McRrae - Autobiography of Colin McRae by him and Derrick Allsop. Published 2001. Hardback. Great condition. £5 posted.
Inside the Mind of the Grand Prix Driver – Christopher Hilton/Haynes – Hardback. Never read and in great condition, although weirdly it’s slightly bowed – I expect from pressure on the bookshelf. Selling on Amazon for £16.99 so £6.50 posted.
Flat out, Flat broke by Perry McCarthy – the chap who was the original Stig. Paperback. Only a couple of pages on Top Gear but a good read – particularly when he’s trying to keep up with Ayrton Senna in a VW Scirrocco! Got to find it in the loft… but I know it’s there. £3 posted.
Manuals and handbooks. Best described as having patina but all complete with no missing pages - £1.50 apiece plus postage or you can have the lot for £10 and try your luck on the ‘bay.

Hi all,
As above really, need a cheap, standalone floodlight or something like that to help when working on the car. Must be in Gloucester or between there and Stratford-upon-Avon.
Happy to swap for any of the below.

For a start, I’d have to say it was down to the buyer to satisfy themselves that it is what it proclaims to be and to be honest, if you’re buying a car like that then you should know what sets a Sport apart from a ‘normal’ 328i.
Trading Standards won’t want to know, but the big thing is I wouldn’t rely on the V5 for nowt. Heard of countless examples where cars aren’t described as the particular model on the V5 but are the genuine article. All the other pointers you have mentioned eg sourcing parts, insurance database all point to the real deal. I get the feeling you’re a genuine guy and while the obvious answer is to say go away in not so many terms, you sound like you want to do the right thing by the buyer whether you’ve made a mistake or not. Perhaps just ask the local BMW main dealer to run the VIN and that should clear it up once and for all?

Hey, has it had a cambelt change 'cos I've got a belt and tensioner in parts for sale! Dirty cheap at 13 quid posted.
Blatant sale over, my neighbour's got one on the drive right now and it looks quite tidy. Always fancied a Volcane one (was that the name?) with the boxy arches. On another note, when I used to use aged C15s for couriering we just used to give them loads of heat to start if they were playing up. Didn't do 'em much good, but then they did start...

Morning all,
Someone has requested pics of Avenger and BMC half ton manual, so looks like they might be gone.
PM me with your email address for pics of wheels as I have no idea how to post pics on here and I just don't get photobucket...
angrydickie - you're very brave! Postage on the lot would be expensive. Think it's a courier job really. Probably about 20 quid plus I would expect - I'll make some enquiries. Would want to send you some pics beforehand though, so please pm with your email address.
