The owner was actually about to start working on it again! He cleaned it up before going away on holiday to get some of the grime off it!
He'll be curse word off that his car's been nicked, he'll be curse word off that his neighbours told strangers that he's on holiday & I'd imagine he's now having a pretty rubbish holiday!
Comments stating that it was lifted just in time & other comments I've read elsewhere stating that at least now it'll get some care are completely insensitive & uncalled for!

www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/news/classic-car-news/1604/lock-up-your-fords!/ Interesting article but highlights the fact that half of all classic Ford thefts aren't posted on the internet. The article reports that 40 classic Fords 25 years or older have been stolen so far this year, but frustratingly only half of them have been reported on my Facebook group due to lack of information being available (The Cortina from Grays for example is nowhere on the internet so wasn't reported at the time of theft)

Car is now back with its rightful owner, looks like it was a miscommunication between two that lay claim to the car.
Car was returned with damage to the body kit & a smashed near side rear quarter window

Was gutted to see that this morning. The old Ford scene has lost a major contributor. Ron (& now Jeff & James) could get mental power from a Pinto that other engine builders could only dream of! Ron was a much respected man & seeing the amount of tributes on Facebook from folk all around the world just shows how highly regarded & respected he was. The word legend is often overused but for Ron it is fitting & well deserved. R.I.P to the man, the legend, Ron Harris aka the Conrod Father
