The Marina is a generally unremarkable and niche car so has never commanded high prices. My guesstimate is 2019 prices as it's difficult and too early to understand how classics prices have been impacted thus far by the pandemic / economic downturn. Octane Classic Car Price Guide 2018-19: Excellent condition - £3,200.00 Good condition - £1,800.00 It's a great shame that it has been left outside for the past 2 years and obviously it will deteriorate if this persists. With the documented low mileage, sparse usage, MOT history, etc. I'm assuming it to be a sub-concours car with concours potential. The rare sunroof fitment adds to the value & appeal. If she scrubbed up really well I'd have seen this as a £5K car in 2019, perhaps a little more. Someone has been advertising a stunning, mint, low mileage Coupé for quite some time on the Car & Classic website, it has remained unsold at £6K. Thankfully a couple of compulsive car cataloguers with decent cameras have captured this Marina at shows. You can zoom in, and in, on Flickr to look at the car as it was 7 years ago. It certainly appears then to have been in very nice condition; www.flickr.com/photos/47381765@N04/10073316825/in/photolist-gm9o9i(Something going on under the vinyl roof above the front screen?) In this 4 year old photo I can see a couple of minor paint issues; www.flickr.com/photos/117096107@N03/28700482764/There is only one way the value is going for the foreseeable future and that's down, if it's left languishing in the elements that will accelerate the loss of value.

It's probably worth mentioning, seeing as the information hasn't been volunteered, that the car is 2 years out of MOT.

Jaguar XJ5.3C project. W Yorks. £5½K [SOLD]1976. Looks to be a garage find unused for 23 years. Put into good order at 2019 prices would have been a £25K+ car. Jaguar XJ5.3 saloon - W Midlands. £7½K 1978. Modest mileage. Drives. Recent re-trim which looks nicely done. MOT just expired, should have +6mths under COVID-19 legislation. Looks to have been parked up unused for a long time, 2 clean MOT passes since recommissioning. In Daimler Double-Six form the s2 was voted 'Best Saloon in the World' by a leading car mag ?Autocar? With paintwork sorted and sundry minor issues put to bed this would be a £12K+ car at 2019 prices.

Wolseley 1300. London. £3,750.00 1972. Low mileage. Auto to manual conversion. Looks to have been laid up for years. No MOT, (exempt), but nothing of concern in limited viewable history.

It's good that you've pictured that Jaguar in its natural habitat - on the filling station forecourt! Nice job.

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/193344513545?ul_noapp=trueGloucs. Lots of work to dismantle, remove & rebuild but might solve someone's car hoarding requirements. Might need re-roofing and I'd want to see proof that the vendor is entitled to dispose of them just in case.

How aerodynamic was that??? At least your arm won't get wet!!! My grandfather used one on his P6, driving along with the window open it really did stop cabin wind but sometimes in warmer weather that breeze is welcome.

1960 Facel Vega HK500 Project Was a fully & well restored car but then suffered external cosmetic fire damage - up & running car for sale via auction through Silverstone Auctions a little later this month - its guided at £50 - £60k but a well presented HK500 is £180k ++ www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C12251671959 Peerless GT Project - Lots to be done but a sound basis Baby Aston looks for £10k www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1224456Beautiful cars both although I think the vendor of the Peerless is living in cloud-cuckoo land as far as price is concerned, a decent running older restoration would sell for less.

I remember watching a programme years ago where they were looking at theft proof registration plates, ?Top Gear? They looked like regular number plates but they were very fragile and securely glued on. If you tried to pull them off they just disintegrated. Perhaps a niche market for these in a range of classic styled plates?

Racing Legends (Originally shown 2012/2013) BBC2 Saturday 9th May 7pm. S1 E1 Hollywood actor Sir Patrick Stewart tells the enthralling story of Sir Stirling Moss's glittering race career. The pair travel to Florence in a classic Gullwing Mercedes to retrace the route of Italy's most famous road race, the Mille Miglia, and discuss how Stirling's near-fatal crash may have been the best thing that ever happened to him. Yet how will Sir Patrick cope with the raw power of the era when he drives a 1957 Formula 1 car at the scene of Stirling's historic British Grand Prix victory? My grandfather was with the Cardiff City Police in the early '50s when he was sent to Pengam Moors airfield to help mitigate potential crowd issues as Rover were testing their gas turbine car there. I'm not sure what rank he'd have been then ?Inspector? but at some point he persuaded Rover's boffins to let him loose in it for a few laps of the airfield. JET 1
