I've got no problems with banger racing as long as the car is acquired legitimately (as in the vast majority of cases). In fact I'd say that an enthusiast racing a car at the very end of it's life is better than an 'enthusiast' who leaves a car rotting to death on a driveway claiming he'll restore it one day. Couldn't agree more, know of a few cars I'd love to get my hands on locked away or sitting outside uncovered and untouched for at least 10 years, slowly rotting away never to see the light of day again. |t would be far better to see them go out in blaze of glory, than get pulled out and crushed further down the line when they are no longer worth restoring.

When i bought my old 924s I drove a 2.0, 2.0 turbo and the 2.5 S, best one was a late model 1989 924s , I ended up with a 86 924s as it was a far better price and had cream leather.
The turbo 2.0 was a dog to drive, and the 2.0 was just a bit slow for the way it looked.
Rather than swap all the running grear from a 944 turbo, just swap the external body panels for those on a 924 far easier.

Luckily the PK10 and FK10 weigh a good 100kg more than the K10, even though the Pao is all plastic up front.
Might have someting to do with the stronger body and side impact protection that the FK10 definately has, and I think the Pao has. ;

www.micra.org.uk/ Lots of micra info here. I know this is the case with K11's some it might be the case with K10's too. Although they are 4x100 the cetre bore is massive, ruling out easy wheel swaps from other manufacturers. Where there's a will there's a way For Superturbo's speak to Ed at Fusion Motorsport 200bhp from his 1000cc running nitros.

RAC always been excellent for me, even managed to blagg a couple of jubilee clips to fix a fuel line leakage from a patrol man parked up eating his lunch a few weeks back.
When I had my old Alfa they used to get the the covered wagon from the local bentley dealership to transport it, if you going to break down do it in style.

Getting out of the car wearing my sunglasses, don't need them in the office I'll drop them through the sunroof its open a couple of inches. Glasses in left hand keys in right hand, drop contents of right hand through gap in sunroof. Took me three rulers and a staple remover taped together to get them back. Cutting the rubber seal on a brake caliper piston as it was a tight fit. Aprroaching roundabout and realising a cut in the seal means brake fluids going to pee out. Didn't matter how much I pumped my 1961 Rover 100 wasn't going to slow down.

Can't find the image any more but there was a nice Cube knocking around a german site in Gulf Racing colours.
Have you thought about using Golf G60 steel wheels?
