what's the story on the polo coupe maybe it's for sale? Its a loon and not for sale. Yep, surprised the gearbox lasted 98k. Not worthwhile fixing, shame really the 2.5 V6 is a nice engine. The car is immaculate front wings replaced under warranty when they started to rust, wheels blasted and powder coated last year. I'm struggling to find time to play with the Polo, its a gearbox out job so looking at nearly 500 labour plus oil change £90. Then actually fixing box. Not worthwhile when I have working car that I can't sell.

Seems I am returning the Renault to the road, inner diff has gone on my Audi A4 2.5TDI multitronic gearbox.
Oh well 3,000 miles in a month and a half killed the Audi, on the plus side it cost nothing. On the downside I need to explain to my Dad his former pride and joy he bought brand new and kept immaculate lasted 49 days in my capable hands!!!

Came back to my daily in Sainsburys carpark in Ipswich and had this parked next to me. Took the smalls to the beach, and couldn’t resist an Ice Cream from this. Also spotted this whilst short cutting through Great Yarmouth. And this whilst ending up queueing in the same vicinity, shocking photo but a late spot! On diversion route between Stanford and Bourne Keep spotting this near mine (the silver GT), so had to do this when in mine! And just for Jolly’s on a rather new Audi. Oh and sometimes you just walk out into the office car park and get spots like this. Oh and whoever was driving the lowered Renault 4 on Plumstead Road Norwich (around 8am Tuesday morning), no photo but great car.

The only thing I can think of is Convair Special, but the only photos I can find sort of make up the sum of the car not the actual one. The rear wings aren't right in the bottom picture, but the hardtop looks right in the first but the styling is completely wrong.

You really think the Bagheera looks like a Pantera? It looks more like a Lotus. I think they are nothing alike. The Bagheera U8 and the Pantera share the same rear lights how much similar do you want???

Like the idea of pledge and ACF50, does the ACF50 discolour the rust? Just remember kurust used to turn the rust purple.

will it be for sale? what age is it aimed at? I would guess ages 4 to 6 it won't be for sale whilst the youngest still fits in but want to preserve it. The boiler is made of metal and rust is coming through. Not holed just surface rust but would like to stop it getting worse. Even painting the wheels would lose some of its patina. I want it to be preserved but still used if that makes sense.

A real barn find well shed, but what is best for it. I have treated it for woodworm. It’s all working including the pedals and bell. (As tested by my youngest) Repainting it is going to destroy it, could I tee cut the paint then lacquer it or is that going detract from its original state. I’m at a loss with this any one have any ideas?

Thanks for the offer normally I'd never say no to anything free. I have plans for the engine bay, but requires the sale of my old daily and some free time!

When we got our new house we had this in the back garden but unused and unloved.
So I spent a weekend wire brushing the deck, then waited for two dry days!!
Meanwhile our office changed its carpets and I found a dart board and football table with no legs about to skipped so.
I then had two dry days and grossly underestimated the amount of paint I needed.
So more paint and wood preserver resulted in this.
I then lucked out taking my youngest to his swimming class, uses the pool at the local Holiday Inn and it was being refurbished.
Four tub chairs later.
My other half then pointed out the boys are going to be missing the dart board and some extra protection was needed.
A quick dig in the shed a few more free carpet tiles some old trellis and I had this.
That brings me up to this weekend, I am now on the hunt for a sheet of 6x3 and an old skateboard.
Total costs to date £20 on decking and fence paint.

My daily hack for the last year and a bit.
Currently for sale on autotrader for £800, but will accept £650ish from here.
Mot runs out 9th Dec 2016.
59,000 miles.
Green, Green Roof, Green Leather. Electric Roof, windows, trip computer, etc etc
Autotrader Ad
Good Bits
Cambelt changed Jan 2015 @ 32K, was done previously at 25K. I have the service book but no invoices earlier than Jan 2015.. I have invoices for over £700 for work I have had done, including cam belt but never got book stamped. Front discs and Pads changed June 16.
Rear screen has been replaced.
Issues
It a Renault so the centre console display for the Audio, CD Autochanger, outside temp and clock has LCDitis and will display properly only when it feels like it. The clock didn't cope with the change to BST so won't read the right time, it seems to want to reset but can't find a signal through the RDS.
When cleaning it for photo's I noticed a crack in the screen behind the rear view mirror, I hadn't noticed before. Its now no longer insured so not easy for me to rectify now. Whilst on the subject of insurance, Mr Flux wanted £80 for two weeks temp insurance so its now sorned, and I live nearly opposite a Police Station so test drives are restricted
Passenger side door mirror is cracked, but nothing wrong with housing.
Rear Leather seat has a slight tear.
The only real issue I have with the car is one gearbox mount needs a heli-coil, or just tighten the bolt every few thousand miles.
As I said I's covered nearly 25,000 miles (or maybe that was in the deleted Ad) in it getting between 47-50 mpg, I have a fairly clear 30 mile trip to work!
I had no intention of selling but inherited an Audi, four cars on the drive way is a pain so time to go.

Should of read the small print, title is X reg or older, being pedantic should be W Reg or older.
I'll get my coat.......I get bored of reading the main terms, and then finding the small print is different.
Now I understand why add was deleted. Sorry for my mistake.

Wheels by miaspaii, on Flickr Collected these last night, a 200 mile round trip...still in boxes never been fitted to car. Cost nearly as much for the four gallons of diesel used to get them!!! Just need some 175/70 13 for the rear, using the best two 165/65 13's on the front. Just need a cv boot that needs replacing, the suspension is coming off anyway so not much more effort and I am good to go!!
