I’m like most of us; terrible for taking on more than I can manage.
I should practice what I preach really, but I don’t, so feel free to ignore me if you want. 🤣

It’s always a difficult call. Especially given how much you have on your plate to deal with.
Personally, I’d get rid of the Renault, even if it means scrapping it, and then make a hard decision as to whether I could keep both the others or only one.

Liked for the Anderson shelter, not the breakdown.
There’s still a few doing duty as allotment sheds local to me, and a mate has one in his garden as a coal store that his granddad built in 1940-ish. I’d like one too, as a curiosity, and have nearly got one a few times, but I’ve always missed out so far.

I had a similar gloopy sticky varnish under the several layers of paint on the skirting and picture rails in our old (1930s built) house.
I found that getting the worst off with the heat gun and scraper, then removing the residue with steel wool and thinners did the trick.

Throttle linkage?
I might have a spare slide on grease nipple attachment if you want me to look?

Land-Rovers use a 10” blade. They’re as cheap as chips.

Glad you enjoyed it. I got taken to see it today* and enjoyed it very much. A good nod to the original I thought.
*Although more because Sarah wanted to see it, I’d probably have picked “Lightyear” 🤣🤣

Good work Grizz, last 10% of jobs on large projects like this are the killer time wise. Cant be too far off a fire up? Indeed. I’ve been trying to finish the last 10% of my Land-Rover for nearly thirty years…

Yes, sorry, I should have registered that you’d used the passenger cover etc on your original driver’s frame.
Maybe you can source a UK passenger seat, which would be a driver’s one for you?

My local Postmaster explained it to me that you’re not allowed to use the generic description “car parts”. You can send a “wiper motor”, or a “carburettor” though.

Now you have the old one out you can take it apart and see if it’s worth saving. That should also show you where the mystery part goes. 😃👍

If either of you want it I have a small, 14” I think, colour portable telly in the loft that I’d be happy to rehome. I bought it new in 1997 or 1998. Paid extra for the version with ceefax and a remote. 🤣

Try something really thin like white spirit or paraffin.
I have been using air tools for decades, and die grinders are the one thing that seem to not last at all.

Die grinders really need a generous oiling before every use, and during too if it’s a big job.

Yeah. The lorry. It’s still grinding on at a snail’s pace.
Getting the offspring to shower is another common problem. I understand it’ll resolve itself when he notices the opposite sex, but that will undoubtedly simply exchange one issue I’d sooner not deal with for another. 🤣
Whenever I mention “haircut” the little swine just comes out with “but you had long hair”, to which I can only respond with “yes, and I used to wash it and tie it back”. Still, the “Cousin It” comments give me some amusement, and if the poor soul takes after either grandfathers he’ll be as bald as an egg at some point, so best to let him make the most of it while he can. 😃
The bike is a semi-successful attempt to get him off the PlayStation, much like the MX-5. 👍

Just for balance, I did all three of ours online last year. Took the pictures on my iPhone against a plain background (white wall), all got accepted no issues first try.
We look like convicts, granted, but I found it straightforward enough.
My sister really struggled as she literally doesn’t have a single surface or wall in the house that isn’t covered in junk decorations. She ended up taking them against her neighbour’s garage door. 🤣
