Clarion cassette radio. Some light wear on the plastic front panel, but still very clean and tidy. Came out of my bmw e36, but would look much more at home in a french car.

Blaupunkt munchen rd104 mid 90s cd radio in need of restoration
As you can see from the pic, this blaupunkt is looking a bit sorry for itslf. I bought it to use as spares, but managed to fix my other rd104 without needing any parts from this. It wouldn't take much to get in back to useable condition.
Parts required
1. New lcd screen, as this one has so many dead pixels it is useless. I have tried cleaning the edge connector, but no joy, it needs a new one.
2. The surround has become damaged and needs to be replaced, no saving this one I am afraid.
3. Aud, geo and dsc buttons have fallen off and been lost.
Apart from this the unit works. The cd player works fine and will play burned cds, the radio works. The on-board amp works well and from memory is around 20 watts per channel, so pleanty of volume available! It has loads of features, too many to list, but there is fine control of bass and treble levels and also a 6 stage loudness control. On the back there is a 3rd iso socket with connections for a pair of line outs and also a line in for connecting a cd changer or if you are clever an mp3 player. (this will require additional wiring looms.)
Whilst we are on the subject of wiring looms, none are included. The rear has two iso sockets into which most std car looms will plug into.

Rare chance to get your hands on a 1980s high end pioneer component car stereo, comprising of a radio cassette headunit and seperate 2 channel amplifier.
First up is the head-unit. This is in full working order and good cosmetic condition.
It dates from around 1980 and has the following functions:
fm,mw and lw tuner with 5 presets and st/mono switch
hybrid digital, analogue tuner display (looks analogue, but is actually digital, super cool!
bass, treble and balance control
tape deck with dolby noise reduction and CrO2 switch
Now the amp. Rated at 30 something watts, but sadly one channel is not working. I have done some testing on it and have found that there is an input signal for both channels, but no output on one. I have not tested any further than this, but suspect that one of the amplifier IC chips has damage to it (although I could see no physical damage to any of the components, so it might be as simple as a damaged circuit board track. You can still get replacement chips for them, but I have only found suppliers from the US and I can't be bothered with the hassle of importing one. You could always disconnect the line in wires and wire them to a pair of phono sockets, then use any amp you like.
The one channel that is working sounds very good, crisp and clear on both radio and cassette.

ELPICO-AUTOVOX CR116 Positive earth M/L car radio.
Beautifully styled car radio which dates from the ealy 60s, would look great in any car from that era.
Cosmetic condition is very good, with the only damage worthy of mention being one preset button has been chipped. The unit comes with an unused fitting kit, so it may well be possible that it has never been used fully.
I have tested it on a bench and the unit powers up fine. I am not sure how much you will be able to pick up on the tuner due to its age (note the limited frequency range!) It would be a great bit of kit to add an aux input to.
There are two speaker outputs, no tone control or anything fancy like that!
