So back onto day shift and progress slows up. The mornings are getting colder and the car is getting that wet windscreen/ mist problem when you first leave the house. Time to get the daily back in the garage at night! So it's back on with tidying the garage to make room for the beetle and the ibiza when it finally gets back. I sold two cabinets on eBay for £72. Put three outside and more in the extended part. Had a good clear out whilst I was doing it and threw out three bags of rubbish. Plenty Of spares I've never used and probably never will! That makes it two small cars long and two wide,

I whacker plated the base before laying the bricks then kiln dried sand between them again whacked many times. I will seal it when the weather dries up. Which left me free to finish the path off in front of the games room with the salvaged blocks from over the road. It cost me £6.57 to do this! Again I'll seal it when it dries up stop the weeds from taking over!!! Just the small drop down path by the woodstore to finish and I'm going to slab underneath where the waterbutt is then I can have my knees back!

I'm fed up of moving this last spare panel from the garage. Damn it's heavy. So I've made step out of it. I'll probably paint it at some point. Getting there. I've had a box of these waiting for a couple I weeks. £2.95 and £4.95 for the locking ones. Three of each. Almost in place! Hopefully it will be the only thing along this wall. I'm not sure about seeing the wheels I think I'll add a skirt around the front edges later. Father in law finished off the trim around the doors and windows. I cut his grass the next day!

I bought three sanding blocks off eBay. They're ok but take ages. I couldn't be bothered with that so I used a big sanding sponge the type you'd get in b&q for sanding down. Much quicker!!! Probably not the correct way for the purists! Then I'd finish it properly once the the rust was gone with the proper blocks. Then blow it all off and wipe with methalated spirits. It doesn't smell like it used too!!!

Oh did I mention the rain? Well this is wet play. I bought jack two Star Wars scalextric speeder bikes for his birthday last week. Obviously I needed to build a track to try them. Mostly ok track it's about 5 sets in one. Lots of my old stuff was going rusty so I've had to spend a lot of time cleaning it!!!

Unexpected week of nights so got a bit more done this week in between the rain Marked the path out found two scaffold boards and staked them in back filled with recycled hard core from my mechanics garden layered that with a mix of leftover ballast and and old sand and whacker plated over it ready for some slabs wen I get back off holiday. Also fitted an old gate my dad was throwing out. Been planning to do this for ages and attached out old bedroom mirror to it. So it's a double feature look like there's a gate at the end of the garden that leads on but it doesn't!!! The mirrors funny as you walk up to it it's like one Of those funfair ones until your up close. Have everything a quick lick of stain from an old tin in the shed so that frees up more space on the shelf!!!

I haven't updated this for a while but it doesn't mean I haven't found anything?! Nigh on brand new trailer board with a damaged connector. Mike at work aquired a new lock up, whilct clearing it he found a carrier bag of car badges and gave them to me. Some cool ones there. Ill mount them on something one day... Bikes Bikes!!! People are always throwing these out or they're falling from cars. This is a cheap old mountain bike. Take the ping pang stickers off (made in Bangledesh) must be quality! Got my mate to make some stickers up and the mrs uses it! Found this Avery Berkel scale in the skip. Wasn't easy to pull that out god damn its heavy!!! Needed a good clean and wasn't working properly. Ive had it apart cleaned it and its almost there. Too cool to throw away!!! Another bike. This didn't have its wheels on it but they were there. Had a puncture and that's about it! Again got some stickers made for it and gave it to my 5 year old nephew Hugo. The number plate I found litter pickering.
