Sidecars ok on car licence without bike licence. Sidewinder was a leanable suitcase on a flimsy frame with a tiny wheel.
Was a loophole that got eliminated.
This thread needs pics to explain.

Sidewinders now banned can't remember when though! Ap50 better for tuning as had reed valve + disc valve. Wouldn't want to pay price of mint RG250 for one now though! Eek!

Ok fair play I was probably after something more mainstream. Vauxhall fitment 4x100 for me. Wobble bolts would work on mini but 0 offset probably no use to you?

Have you considered an old bus? Used to see loads of them in the 90's with cars in the back heading to the local banger tracks Was my first choice tbh but too long for driveway, plus swinging it in and out of narrow Street down side of 2 up 2 down not really viable. Maybe a swb coach with enough width to take Chevette? I'll check out the wagon threads on here recommended by Dazcapri. The Bedford kinda goes with Vauxhall chevette. Can see it now in DTV livery! Lol

You do know these are still available new from Weller? Some of prices ppl asking for used one's is more than new price.
Just letting you know.
I need an orphan 7" 8 spoke myself but postage + scene tax swaying me towards new.
Forgot to add beware of ppl that can't measure wheels properly a 7" actually measures 8" rim to rim.
The correct measurement is tyre bead to tyre bead.

Thx Daz sorry dude I was typing like an ugly secretary when the firm was making cutbacks.
Battery was dying as I typed on phone. Sorry if I came across an RS I'm not like that!
I'll edit now so it makes sense.
I did think 814 but had read about rust issues. I don't think I'd want to be doing engine transplants at home on wagons. Trying to keep cars low-key.
MAN, Foden, Seddon Atkinson don't appear much idk why?
Drove a H plate Cargo for a couple of years seemed very reliable coz boss wasn't big on servicing. Just got brakes + tyres really.
Thx Ian

Hi could one of you Vauxhall nuts confirm that 052 lsd will fit in Salisbury 4ha axle. Have seen a few posts rodsnsods, etc that say they will. I know Jag powerlock goes in with slight mods is 052 same. Not going powerlock as ratio I need would mean buying Dana gears as well as buying powerlock with a gearset that's wrong. Only come in 2.88,3.54,3.2? Thought some of you retroriders would know! Thx Ian

Thx Colin I was in a distressed state when I collected car from local garage. Car had been there 2 months and ended up worse than when I dropped it off. I was clutch kicking it on tow.
Install in Volvo is very close to Bulkhead. I'm hoping I can get to this by removing prop, taking gearbox off bellhousing and have enough jiggle room to sort clutch arm.
I've noticed that not all bellhousing bolts are fitted due to tight clearance which is common with rally cars with quick fit bellhousing.
Any more tips appreciated or is there an off the shelf uprated arm available? Thx Ian

Thx dodgerover yep if I get the right wagon I'll have 16 ft internal length depending on bodywork. Will have to lose living quarters or make into toolbox/tyre + wheel storage. Width isn't a problem with HSR kit. Agreed TK's are going up as are Ford D series. I think it's better to buy what you really want rather than compromising but budget is always ruling factor. Cargo's don't seem to be made of best metal. Saying that tho our old TK did get a replacement cab off younger Vehicle. I'm steering myself away from TL range as diffs are meant to be weak on early models. Tho also read the AWD models from Bedford takeover are also junk. ? Cheers Ian

Hi could anyone put me in the picture how many different clutch arms there are for Rover V8?
My clutch lever I think has bent. Slave blew apart and lever seems to have fallen out.
My engine was a Range Rover V8EFI but has had quite a lot of mods + tuning.
Gearbox is lt77 2wd version as it's in my username Vehicle.
I know you use a Rover V8 clutch arm on TR7 V8 conversion with V8 bellhousing. All I have to go off is Rimmer Bros catalogue + Haynes Rover SD1 manual. Thx Ian

Looking at it I would love to see some of the the custom shapes done a little differently with a higher more curved bootlid & rear window, but it is still so nicely done it has to be applauded & cannot be criticized. Glad you showed it off. Fully agree with all this. Boot looks too flat at rear. I think it needs split rear window FTW! Would love this but wouldn't have the budget till next year at an educated guess of what I'd expect he'd want for it! Mate's done a hard top convertible from a Daimler double six so can appreciate the hard work gone into this. Side rear windows could do with being slightly larger too. A bit too fat on pillar.
