Thread hijack alert, but while we are on sidecar silly ness I'm on the lookout for a chair to either go on one of my trials bikes or a long distance trails type one to go onto an XL600 or similar type of thing to take the kids out greenlaning if anybody has one floating about, I might even be tempted by a complete outfit.... This thread rocks a little diversification is brilliant. Just spotted this I know not trials but so cool.http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=301909988419&alt=web Or Fs1e 90cc twin? Is roadkill included or did it disappear leaving no insurance details? Can't see why this hasn't sold b4 now. It makes me wonder if it's retrorides or Crocheting forums UK? The curse word cars ppl go wild for is crazy but I guess if we all chased same cars it would be boring and impossible to buy what we want. Glws dude

What have you got to lose by applying for the logbook, they will either issue it and take your £25 or ask to see the car, confirming its legit the issue the book or refuse because it has an export marker then ask to see it. Of course you don't mention that you know it went out of the country. I can't buy it till I got funds from selling other stuff. Seller paid peanuts for it and wants as much as possible for it. He's letting auction run. He would accept my offer if he gets messed around which I think he will! I'll try phoning Doovla but it generally depends who picks phone up from previous experience with them. I wouldn't mess anyone about saying I'll buy it till I got cash in hand. Idk why I called you Dollywobbler when you're 1300dolly. Just used to reading his posts alot I guess? Apologies + cheers for help!

One of my m8's harem said she could get a trike on motability. Tho that would be pretty useless if raining or in winter! Maybe she has full motorcycle entitlement? I'll have a search!

I just put reg in and no details are available. Is it worth a phonecall to Doovla or is dollywobblers idea better? Thx for all suggestions so far.

Sidecars ok on car licence without bike licence. Sidewinder was a leanable suitcase on a flimsy frame with a tiny wheel. Was a loophole that got eliminated. This thread needs pics to explain. I've never seen one of these, but I googled it for you. Looks hilarious! Downloaded same one but as photobucket wouldn't back up on low battery you beat me! Here's a gratuitous close up

Bought these a while ago OP paid around £550 for them! Eek They were made for Chrysler/Talbot Sunbeam but one has been cut and readjusted to clear Vauxhall Chevette chassis leg. Would probably fit anything with similar clearance. I bought a short stroke 2.3 Russ Tyler grasstrack engine so didn't go MV6 route in the end. Strangely routed tho equal lengths. Looking for £200+ collection only as can't be losing time of work to wait for couriers that can't show up on time. Would px/swap early Volvo 140 goodies , early Volvo 260 bits , Vauxhall Cih tubular manifold, Chevette/Manta rally bits etc. Could be collected any evening from 5pm up to midnight or any weekend. Will add pics if photobucket plays nicely! In Southport Merseyside 07791756506 Thx Ian [/URL[/URL[/URL[/URL[/URL[/URL[/URL[/URL[/URL

Good call Gaz I had a 1/2 hr conversation and kinda forgot to ask UK reg. He's wanting as much money as he can get for car though. Realistically if whoever buys it is unaware of difficulty of dealing with HM Customs they are probably gonna be in for a tough time. I'll get reg number of him tomorrow + check it out. It's only worth what it's worth to me as I pretty much know it's a lot of work. Done a later very similar car that wasn't as bad bodily. Also currently looking for classic wagon to make transporter so probably bad timing for me. Got a couple of cars to sell + just blown a week + half's wages on 142 bits. Only been back at work 3 weeks since being off since Xmas.

Sorry guys no signal at work. Car has original UK tax disc with old UK reg no on it. It's been back 12 year's in UK. Previous owner passed away and his family can't find any more paperwork.
I've put seller wise on this that vat will be due at value of car when it arrived.
I'm about to ring him as car needs a heavy restoration job just to get mot without going for concourse finish.
I reckon £500-£600 in parts getting them reasonably priced. Probably a solid 2 months work in it.
Car runs + drives needs rear wing, 2 rear doors, Pair of sills + who knows what else?
Underside looks better than 80's to 90's 240's from picture I've seen.
Thx Ian

Update on this I've asked owners dad to get him to pull his finger out and clear junk off it. I'll be off work for a week on Friday so hopefully will get it out in daylight. Then I can describe it properly and take loads of pics.
Had a living nightmare the other day as left home then realised house keys were in house still. Ended up breaking front window of house when it fell on me in middle of torrential downpour and hit crowbar I was using as Key!
End result ripped fleece, soaked clothing, wet shoes etc. Thx Ian

www.gov.uk/importing-vehicles-into-the-uk/paying-vat-and-dutyCan someone who understands this confirm this for me Please? Car originally UK registered then exported to Sweden unsure of when. Then reimported to UK. Seller has no nova form or vat receipt. Car is 1974 or 75. As I read it only vat is payable on this! But car needs heavy restoration so who knows value of it? Should I run away or is it viable? Thx Ian

There is only one ...... That's beautiful but probably way out of budget. Funnily enough I'd downloaded that pic from surfing commercial threads. Was strangely thinking about flatbed with an airstreamer style rear on it. Another download from here after dreaming of it. Mate was talking about 814 Mercedes yesterday saying he was in one that blew up going up Parbold hill local steep hill on way from Latham towards M6 junction. I'll grill him for more details.[br Shamelessly stolen photo!
