Me! Not only have I been, but I shot a documentary about the history of the place. And took my mate with you! He still speaks fondly of that adventure . . . . And I still owe him (you) a pint! Funny thing - I saw the first edit of the film recently and they'd cut the scene with Bibendum in it. I have insisted it goes in the final version, we had such a laugh 'interviewing' him in a French bar.

Me! Not only have I been, but I shot a documentary about the history of the place. It will be published in a few weeks. What do you want to know? Here's a little write up you might like about Reims and the Gueuex circuit: www.motorpunk.co.uk/features/roadtripping/maseratis-and-surprises-reims-gueuex-grand-prix-circuit-revisited/Not a very retro car, but in all other respects, my car for driving the circuit was ace: F1's bubbly - in Vranken's cellars Sunset Different circuit layouts, the top left hairpin is now a dead end (but worth visiting for Musso's roadside grave if you know where to look) Poor pic, but there's the remains of a chapel in the woods where drivers were blessed before races, if you forage far enough Don't forage too far, though... Zoooooom! (Do not climb on anything, or litter, there's a friendly bunch of locals maintaining the place who are struggling to keep it all open) Faster than Fangio; Money shot; I'ma regular over there, anything you want to know, just ask.

Brave choice! I had a 2 door saloon (RMK 134Y) with a 1.3 litre engine, 4 speed box and orangey/brown/red paint and russet interior. I then had a 5 door hatch, 1.8 SRi in two tone Helios blue and Anthracite (D450 ARY). Back then, I thought they were ace. Now, I am not so sure. Looks like you have a lot of work to do. Good luck!

Basically, less Porsche, more Lotus. Funny you say that, tdk. I took a gamble on an '03 Elise this year. It has definitely been fun, and I've mostly used it on my 30-mile A and B road commute, at which it has been surprisingly capable. It's made going to work fun. Even at that age, they're still a very mechanical car, with the biggest worry being HGF. All told, doing a Rover K-series HG is a small worry for an exotic. Fantastic. I'm a big Lotus fan, just never gotten round to owning one. HGF is no big deal, is it? I recall someone telling me it's £300-£400 to fix. I paid £300 just to fix the handbrake on my Porsche! 968 prices are rocketing, and the Evora seems to be dropping still, when I can swap one for the other I will be a very happy man. I also want a Mk2 Jag or a Volvo Amazon. Missus not happy. I'll work on that

Where in Leicester are you? The council will rent you a garage for about £30/month. Stick a decent lock on it and you're sorted. Unless it's in Beaumont Leys, where your car will be stolen before you've even gotten out of it. Perhaps.
A mate has a big barn, CCTV, the lot, but it's £100/month per car for storage as I recall. Near Syston.

Got 19 issues in a box, was going to e-bay them once over but never got round to it. How much do you want? The mag sounds terrible. I love that kind of rubbish. PM me!

Good stuff! My 2p - Make them shorter (and more frequent). Vary your tone of voice. Get a co-host (or two). Have a loose agenda/topic for each podcast. Break up each part with a tiny jingle. Keep up the good work! I'm going to drop you a PM, by the way

Lovely!
I think Will, editor of PPC Mag, has a very similar car although he stuck the V8 in himself.

Loved the video, 300 ponies in an MG must be staggering. Yes, ferocious. But it wasn't scary, it has loads of grip, good steering feel, decent ride quality and everything feels new and tight. We've just finished a film about another boutique car manufacturer, different product, but just as cool. I'll start another thread in that when it is released

its great that you take the time to introduce us to some fine cars the video looked very professional and informative....i wouldnt ever spend 50k on any car but id certainly have a go at building such like,i find it very humbling that british men in sheds and garages can turn out such great work Thanks! The 'shed' was a beautiful little factory unit, used to be the home of Toleman F1 (Senna's first F1 ride).

Did you take that pic a few years ago? I recognised the lane to Holkham bay, I love that place. I saw the owners club in the car park at Wells a few years ago, maybe the same time? I didn't get the appeal then and I still don't get it now! Each to their own, though.
