Forgot to add GoldCup pics And now it's currently away having a custom exhaust manifold made... I give up with the Focus manifold, so that's up forsale A couple of the pics I've been sent so far of the new manifold, can't wait to have it back! No bonnet clearance issues with this one

Another pic I've been sent Think we've sorted a fix for the manifold... It's coming off and being sold... Booking it in for a custom manifold... Sod it... Soon after that engine and box are coming out and it's having the Focus box mods done... I wanna push the engine for more power now...

That's a shame. Hopefully you can tap it down. Gently gently. What engine mounts are you using? Are there gaps between the rubber? Detailing, paint rectification is what I do for a living... Training in PDR too... If I can't sort it I know a man that can... I'll try some 5mm washers between the box cradle and engine mount... Should In theory be all it needs Using vibratec mounts currently

We've been out mapping today with the Orion :DD: We've not increased the boost, just ironed the map out to make it drive better, and tweaked the map as and where needed due to the manifold upgrade Drives really nicely now, and is quite a handful on boost  I've put 180 miles on it while out today
This manifold upgrade has caused no end of grief, today while out mapping every now and then the bonnets been popping up into the safety catch  After much tweaking it seems to be good again, but didn't dare do any high speed mapping on the motorway with this issue I've ordered another new bonnet cable and latch mechanism to modify Unfortunately I've now got a high spot in the bonnet where the new manifold must be pushing on the bonnet when on boost The high spot hasn't broke the paint, so it'll tap down... I know PDR :top::cry: So it's easy sorted But I need to sort the clearance out before sorting the bonnet

Can't believe I've only just found this thread! You are one of the reasons I got into Orion's/ Escorts. Must've shown your Fast Ford feature to my mates 5 times trying to convince them to buy Orions. Must have rubbed of cause one of them is looking for one now. How easy was it to change the top steering column bearing? I'm thinking about doing it on my mk4 Escort estate as its got an annoying shake at high speeds I can't quite get to the bottom of. Cheers A.J Flicked it out, pushed replacement in Shake at high speeds maybe warped discs

Top bearing and white bush replaced... I've also found a black column bush... Presume it's for the lower part of the column without taking it apart to look? I'll replace that after Fordfair I think...
