That is the nicest period looking gt40 ive ever seen much nicer without the racing livery IMO really a credit to you . i would have to disagree with you on that as i think this is one of the few cars where stripes work and i quite like the paint colour it had before being restored. but it still fantastic which ever way you look at it,and the wheels really suit it

got a good 1800 zetec in a escort here still running you can have the whole car for 150 if you like where abouts is that car? I am in manchester and if its close i'd take it for the engine swap its easy enough to do it yourself you just need to use the water pump and sump off the 1.6/1.8 and the 2.0l ECU this place can do your conversion for you though www.mda-motorsport.co.uk/not to far away iam in nottingham m1 junction 27 drop me a pm if intrested

This would be all lovely and fantastic if it wasn't in Cumbria. Investing £500 in a space to store a car forever that is a 6 hour round trip away makes about as much financial sense as starting a business selling "I heart Jimmy Savile" t shirts. The fuel costs would make it cheaper to rent a lockup. not all true if you rent its dead money this should go up in value.

i had one of those orange sets cost about 80 pounds and its RUBBISH the metal is thicker on a coke can the draws jam with anything in them and if you want to roll it round it was a nightmare.after about 8 months it just fell apart.you are better off useing a milk crate and a bread basket.

the best ones are the ones that have a metal frame you just pull it over the car and the frame stops it touching the car and allows air to move around it.
