Hi All, Now being surplus to requirements after being a daily for the last 3 months, I'd really like to move this on now. MOT til October and Tax till December (that's free though of course). Been totally reliable, usual drive for a Series, Harsh and bumpy, but also kind of fun. In 'used' condition as can be seen from the pics, but all solid and useable. Got a natty PTO winch on the front, which, apart from looking mean is really useful. Worst bit is the scrape on the side, really needs a new panel, but I got it for off roading, so wasn't too bothered. There's an LPG kit on it, but I haven't a clue if that works or not, see it as a bonus if it does. PM me for any more info. Thanks Dave

Don't be too hasty weighing it in, there's a lot of value in that stuff. The Jag IRS by the tractor 'covered in junk' is worth a bob or two as is that Mk1 Escort Van door hanging up. The Mini Traveller is worth good money as it's a smooth roof. Happy sorting!!

Actually, just had another thought, the 105E club do a conversion using Fiesta discs and calipers on standard legs. you just need a bracket that replaces the backplate and the hub needs turning down by 1mm or so for the disc to fit.

You need the TCA's too and re-drill the inner mounts on the crossmember an inch further in or you get too much Neg. Camber! Not right I'm afraid, if you do that, you get horrendous bump steer as the fulcrum points on the suspension and steering no longer line up. 2 options on struts, either Classic or Mk2 Cortina, as already said, but you'll need to fit 2 1/4 springs on Cortina struts as the standard ones are too big for the Anglia towers. Whatever struts you get, make sure you get the matching steering arms As for TCA's either Mk2 Cortina cast arms (the pressed ones won't fit), or easier still, buy the adjuster kit from Rally design and use the Anglia ones as Milton do. I've got some struts, but they need inserts, I'll check to see if I have steering arms as soon as I can.

Phone Alan at Delrene Motors in Redditch, 01527 63274. They had a couple of phase 2's in last week, one was a Quicksilver.

Superb, everything you will need is available from Agriline, usually cheaper than e.bay too ;D One of the only things I've never driven in all these years. Need to get that one crossed off my Bucket List one of these days. You can pop over and have a go on my Dexta if you want Bri

I've got some with tyres on, but not sure how good the tyres are. Also got a blasted and primed set with no tyres. Not sure on the nut situation though.

Hi Folks Been doing this for my step daughter on and off for a while, but she really needs something a bit more practical now, so it has to go, unfinished. Logged as a Racing Flame, but it's black, so that would make it a Checkmate if I'm correct, or it's been re-shelled. Down as 1275 but has 998 engine in it, details will need to be changed. Currently needs a small patch welding on the drivers door step and the usual bit behind the air vent on the same side. I will do that before it goes if needs be. Needs some minor filler work finishing before paint as the pic shows. It's a little more stripped than this now, but you get the idea Mechanically, just needs an off side front ball cup on the cone, I have that. I have everything to finish this except for a heater, there's standard and clear rear lights, front lights, all glass, a tidy Jet Black interior, arches with chrome covers, all the fiddly little chrome bits like door step covers etc, full width carbon effect dash and loads more, too much to list here really. There's a set of unknown 12" wheels looking a bit like the old Dunlops (but not) with 2 almost new 165/60x12 Yoko's and 2 good ones. pics a bit of a bad angle, but gives an idea It was running, but I took the tank out, so I'd need a day or so to get round sorting that. If you are interested, PM me and come and have a look, I can take some more pics, but I don't want to waste my time. Looking for £1000 for everything, I would deal if someone only wanted the basic car, but I won't sell any parts until the car itself has gone. Thanks for looking

I heard about this 'cash ban' the other day - I reckon what'll happen is people will weigh in 'on account' and then at a certain time of year they'll get one big payout - one of my cycling mates does this, takes a trailer of scrap each month, gets 'paid' a ticket, and then cashes all his tickets in at christmas not much help if you're trying to weigh in your donor car to cover the cost of purchase mind you... It's cheque on the day according to our local yards

You need to be crafty with what you weigh it in as. Our local yard is paying £170/ton for 'shearing' or heavy, which is engines etc. not to be confused with 'light' that most car panels are classed as. If the gearboxes are 'irony alloy' i.e. ally casing, then it's £280/ton. That's Birmingham pricing and will be more London area I would have thought. The 'cash ban' just means you need id and get payment by cheque, nothing more sinister.

Maestro/Montego and Rover 200/25/400/45 are the same pattern and reasonably easy to find.

As no-one else has replied, I'd like to say that I would love to have this if a) I had the money b) I had the space for it c) My granny hadn't died 40 years ago and d) You weren't so far away I think that's covered it all. :-)

I think you need to be more specific as to what's going on here, as Ford & Peugeot 4-stud is the same pattern... He needs a spigot ring to go around the hub centre as they are different diameters. If you don't use them it's only the bolts locating the wheels and that'll put too much stress on them.

Is that the 'French Connection' Mustang that Ray Mumford painted all those years ago? Anyhoo, looks fantastic. Moar plzthxbai The very same one buddy (actually it's second Mumford paint job). The guy who owns it used to work at Mech-Spray with Ray Mumford and he also has the Badger airbrushes Roller which was also painted by Ray and a re-creation of Bullitt, which he persuaded Ray to do for him ;D
