I would have thought that the obvious answer is a Bristol. But they're a) rare and b) even rarer in LHD. There's a Brigand on Car and Classic for £18k but it's not a leftie... www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C630062

I've dealt with Graham Robson extensively - and yes, very much a Ford man! He ran a red RS200 (yes 200) as his daily for a long period of time and is an absolute Ford oracle. Pretty clued up in many areas when it comes to other makes too, but I think he'd be hard pressed to deny his love of the Blue Oval! I know you say 'Pretty clued up...' but I would have sworn he was BL to the core, because of an excellent 'History of Rover' book that he wrote!

I need to get my gearbox oil and filter changed. But apparently, there are a few different types of filter for the A4LD box, and I'd like to make sure I have the right one *before* I drop the sump and drain all the oil out, rather than order one and found out it's wrong, and end up having the car off the road while I wait for the right one. So, if I supply my local dealer with the VIN, will they be able to identify the correct filter?

I remember CAR magazine describing the Mk2 Astra as looking 'like it was squeezed out of a toothpaste tube'.

Been trying to convince a mate of mine that this is exactly what he needs, but he reckons it's not big enough...

Got my dashcam fitted properly. Tucked away all the wiring, all neat and tidy.

How about the Aston Martin Tickford Capri Turbo? Cost around £14,000, capable of 140 mph, acceleration 6.5 seconds to 60 mph, came with a rear disc conversion and boasted 205 bhp.

My dad had one, like sitting in an armchair when driving it.. I've often said to friends that if mine had a telly, it's be like driving my lounge.

There is a 1978 Ascona coming up for sale soon. It's already in the For Sale section, but things have got a bit complicated because it's part of a deceased person's estate and has to be valued. Once that's done, I'll put the price in the ad.

If they're going quickly, I tend not to, but if we're in queues or in town I generally give an appreciative nod, a thumbs-up or a wave. It's rarely reciprocated but never mind, it's still nice when it is.

I had a Z Victor 4! I thought a car that talked was the coolest thing ever. I haven't seen one for about thirty-five years.
If you have any way of testing it, a quick search suggests a working one could be worth about £80.

Granada did just over 7.5k last year, which included a jaunt to Ireland and back, and just over 5k the year before that. It's not really a 'daily' driver, but it's all I have to drive.

Ah, I've found the flaws. - You need the app running in the background all the time.
- You need Bluetooth on all the time.
- It doesn't use true GPS, but relies on other users being in proximity.
I think a regular SIM-based tracker will be a better option.

Just came across this when it popped up in my Twitter feed The TrackrThere's an interesting video where they use it to recover a stolen bike I think I'll be investigating further, although I can't help but feel that I'm missing something obvious...

Thanks for that info. It does look like a great performer, but I think the lack of a screen will annoy me after a while, so I think I might go for something different, probably the Mini806.
