^^^ This was shown briefly on a Channel 5 show last Friday. It belongs to Shane Lynch (ex-Boyzone), but was then on an Irish plate. Looks like he's imported and re-reg'd it.

I once bought a tax disc holder that had 'Tax Applied For' pre-printed, so that showed when there was no disc in it.

Industrial estates are great places to wander around, Lotus Elise? Can't remember/don't know Excel. It says so on the side

I lived in Ireland for a while, up in County Leitrim. Now, Leitrim is a very quiet, relaxed, unhurried kind of a place. It only has a population of 30,000 or so in the whole county, and the county's first traffic lights were only installed in 2003 (and even they were taken out a few years later). So seeing a De Lorean DMC-12 parked in the main street in a village called Carrigallen (pop. 384) one Sunday afternoon was a bit of a shock. But more was to follow. The main street has a right-left dog-leg at the top, and as I exited the left-hander, there was a DMC-12 in front of me! Now, I was damn sure that the one I'd seen parked hadn't passed me, and I couldn't actually process what I was seeing. It took a good few seconds for it to dawn that there were two of them.

It’s really not about being ultra-exotic for me. I don’t care if it was a mass produced Japanese car. It’s about capturing the same spirit as the Pantera. That muscle car+sports car blend I mentioned. Most of the above suggestions are either only sports cars or straight boat like GTs. The Pantera somehow stays in between. Maybe I’m not making sense for you. It’s hard to explain. Sorry. A Nissan Skyline GT-R R32?

Can I ask why it was controversial? Was it just the cost of the paintjob?

I've been debating this with someone on another forum. I like it (or rather, have no massive issues with it), he absolutely hates everything about it. It turns out that he's only actually watched the first five minutes of episode 1, and all of his opinions are based on that and what other people have told him.

M26 westbound yesterday, about 6.30pm. Gold Mk1 Fiesta on black four-spokes (possibly Revolutions), on a blue Transit beavertail. Didn't see much else as I was going the other way, but I did see that the offside front wing was mismatched.

Until I bought a brand-new car a few months ago, I've never had a car that was less than ten years old, and some considerably older!

I'm a mere forty-six. I never really went through the 'car poster on the wall' phase, even when mates were mad for Lambos and Daytonas. I always liked the Rover P6, and the Triumph 2500S estate, and I remember buying my first copy of Classic & Sportscar because it had a feature on the Consul Capri. I always promised that I'd buy myself a Suzuki Whizzkid for my first car, a bit cool-looking, quirky, but crucially a small engine so cheap to insure. But I didn't pass my test until I was twenty-three and nearly married, and what did I end up with? A green Fiat 900E camper! (not actual vehicle!)
