Those wire wheels do look ace! I continued searching for more about the lotus and could only find this, "The idea was picked up in the Eighties by Jerry Juhan, whose Lotus Esprit was outdragged in the wet by a Citroen Deux Chevaux [2CV], prompting him to speculate that two narrow tyres would give better adhesion in poor conditions than a single wide one." It seems the very same guy (Jerry) may have had something to do with the downfall of Delorean as read on lotus forums "Interesting to note that 0203J was collected by a J. Juhan. I presume this was Jerry Juhan who was linked to GPD through which the missing £17.6 million from DeLorean was allegedly processed" I don't know, but presume the lotus pictured above is the one mentioned : 0203J

Hey guys, Tuning Fork (of mighty car mods fame) just shared this on his facebook page, it looked like an interesting concept which faded away long before I ever saw a set on the road and something I thought some here would be interested to see. I don't think they'd have too much longevity considering they look about as thick as space savers these days. JJD Twin Tyre wheels. Whilst searching I came across this madness...

Not my car at the time but it is the car in previous guises, I did some facebook investigation to find the owner before last. House move imminent now, can't wait to be able to have a garage at home now instead of half way across town.

My car's pretty much exactly the same on the out side as when I got it, I work too slowly, only differences are within really. My vespa is the one with the largest change.

I worked with a girl who after asking me what oil her car needed preceded to fill the engine until oil was visible under the filler cap. Near on 20 litres apparently. Seems this is quite a common mistake. A friend of mine did that, drove it too, needless to say it started to smoke within minutes of being started from what I heard from him.

www.gran-turismo.com/gb/products/gtsport/license/"By fulfilling various prerequisites, such as completing the lessons in racing etiquette in the Campaign Mode of Gran Turismo Sport and reaching a certain level of achievement in "Sport Mode", you will be eligible for the “FIA Gran Turismo Digital Licence” from your local ASN (national sports authority/automobile club). This will hold the same value as a real life licence. As of May 2016, 22 countries/regions have expressed their wishes to participate in this program. We will announce the final list of participating regions, conditions, fees and procedures at a later date" "The game will also introduce an FIA Gran Turismo Digital Race License which, once earned, will then pass information in to 22 participating regional car clubs including those in the UK, Germany, Belgium, India and China. The clubs will then decide how to use that information and whether further testing is necessary before granting applicants with a race licence" Whilst I understand gaming isn't the same as real world racing, this is quite something for a gaming company to get behind. What do we think?

Kids these days don't need to modify their cars in the same way, manufacturers have become increasingly good at making cars "aggressive" from the factory, small mods on modern cars give off nearly the same effect and in most cases the only thing you do when you change the speakers these days is make the sound quality worse. I guess people are just more careful when modifying a car which belongs to the bank.

I used to have a facelift 1.2 4 door saloon in maroon, it was a great motor. I never modified it, just learned how to fix things on it, I sold it on with fresh 12 months MOT no advisories, the fella who got it from me cut it up with an angle grinder and weighed it in less than 3 months later.
Yours looks ace, shame about the rear though!
