Bad luck with the Bonnet, it could have been worse, it could have broken the windscreen as well Great to see progress here, loving the work so far I had the exact same problem with my bonnet when I took mine for a 'quick test', quite scary a 40+ mph as the bonnet is twice the size of the windscreen, mine stopped short of the windscreen as well but sheared off both hinges and bent the corners. I'm just going to make a fibreglass copy of my mates 'flat' bonnet though. Good luck gettin it sorted All the glass is of the car yet... It only bent abit where the hinges are bolted but nothing big... I've only noticed that when I was going to close it... The outer skin is almost undettectable... I'll see what I can do tomorow... I think I might have to change my water pump... It's leaking abit now... Maybe when I install all for the last time I remove all the rust in the water and change the water pump...

The thinggy that opens the hot water to the heater matrix is leaking... Got to find a replacement or fix it... I was doing a test drive to see if the handbrake was evennelly braking, forgoted that the hood was not locked and it opened up and now is dented, just on the tips but dents... Damn it... Going to try to make it straight again... Let's see if I can start on the metal this week to get it ready to paint something...

LLLOOOLLL I thought your GTA was RWD... My mistake... Nope, it's essentially a R11 Turbo underneath at the back. I always thought so but when I saw that pic the tortion bar fooled me and I edited my comment with LLLOOOLL When I had my R9 I had a mechanic replace the front discs and pads and bleed the all circuit but He didn't do his job well because he forgot that the car as that porportioning valve at the back and I found that the hardest way... I had an accident with that... Blocked the fronts and the rears didn't even braked and busted the hole front... Then after a few months I discover that... And they are adjustable , I adjusted abit and the car broke like never before... I don't remember now what I did to adjust it... If you could put a pic of the actual part I might help...

Yesterday, we set up the K-jet using my new toy, an air/fuel meter. I researched options and the Innovate Motorsport kit seemed well regarded and good value. The kit comes with a Bosch wideband lambda sensor. On a car like the K-jet Volvo 240 (mechanical injection), where no lambda is originally fitted, a threaded mounting boss (also supplied in the kit) needs to be welded into the exhaust. Cheers John Hi... Can you tell me how much it costs?!?!? I might want one to see how my engines are running and here it might cost me a fortune... It is acttually a tremendous tool to have in your shop... Reading and learning... That's what RR is all about...

I'm currently looking for the source of the oil consumption on my daily that as 117 000Km's ... I've removed the aftermarket oil cooler, changed the oil for a thicker one but it still uses 0.5l of oil every 1000km or soo and by removing the oil filler cap I looked inside and is black where used to be nice and shiny?!?!?!?... I've looked on the web and I think I found the culprit... A damaged PCV... Tomorrow will have to check it... Off with it's head!?!?!?!? LLLoooLLL No work will get done tomorrow on this Volvo...

I've always liked a TVR not for its look but for its lack of security and brute force...
Nice one you've got there, keep up the good work...

Love the idea of storing the parts in a jar of oil, its the simple things like this that make RR such a great place to hang out Thanks tonybmw, I've learned some metal folding technics and welding from your repairs. It was about time to countribute with something to the RR... I was looking the other day for some parts and enconter the oil pump that I cleaned, soaked in oil and stored in paper about one year ago with the metal filter with some rustyness and started to check the other parts... That gave me an idea... Why not put the spring , valves and the other oilly bits of an head in a bottle and filled with that oil that I won't need anymore?!?!?! I looked for some kind of a bottle but the valves were to wide then I came across a cookie jar and said that might do the trick!?!? Attention... I don't know if the plastic jar will not desintegrate overtime but until then the parts are safe... ;D ;D That's why I've only post my project here and nowhere else... It's a bit low on comments but it could be worst...
