**Now sold**
1989 BMW 530i (E34)
Automatic
Arctic White
130,009 miles
Full MOT as of today (31/12/18) through to January 25th 2020.
Passed with one minor advisory (front pads, which I'm going to sort)
With regret, I'm offering my early E34 530i for sale. It's the three litre straight six M30 model. Low miles at 130k, which is an average of just over 4k miles per year over 30 years. I've had it since July, and love it, but found that, as with many German cars, I'm not
in love with it. It's certainly been an itch I needed to scratch, and I haven't been disappointed.
When I got the car it had a hole in the original exhaust. I sourced a Scorpion stainless system locally, and had that fitted. It sounds great. The upturned ends might not be to everybody's taste, very 90's, however, it was a deal too good to turn down when faced with a blowing original.
Lots of pics of my time with this car in my readers ride thread...

13 Months MOT to 25/01/2020
The auto box is super smooth, with the changes almost being unnoticeable. Kicks down without issue too. The period light blue velour cloth interior is in great condition, and with it not being leather, you don't get freezing cold seats in the winter, or leg burns on a sunny day. Win-win for me.
The exterior is very tidy for a 30 year old car, with no rust. There were a few scuffs and stone chips to the bonnet leading edge and bumpers, however I have touched these in, and it looks a million times better, however, a perfectionist would want to sort these with some paint.
With the car being 30 years old, there are of course little bits and pieces that need looking at to make perfect.
*The nearside rear door does not unlock with the central locking, and the pull won't lift up manually. It'll be something quite simple - HOPEFULLY SORTING THIS WEEK
*The offside rear door doesn't unlock with the central locking, however, it the pull does lift up by hand so the door does open.
*There's a slight power steering fluid leak. - SORTED
*The climate/aircon fans will only run on fastest from 'cold', however after two or three minutes, the roller switch which controls the fan speed works fine. Aircon is nice and cold.
*The aftermarket silver Sony head unit is ok, works fine, but is very 90's and not original.
*When I got the car it had an occasional lumpy running issue. There's a small split in the intake pipe, and once that was covered with duct tape there has been no problem, and it runs super smooth. I believe a replacement plastic pipe is still available from BMW, and not expensive, but like I say, it runs without issue with the duct tape covering the small split.
*One of the vanes on the front grille is broken, but barely noticeable...
I'd say there's nothing there which is too difficult to sort, but I'm an honest guy and want to document the things that need a little attention. None of the above have bothered me, and they haven't affected my enjoyment of this great, iconic car.
I replaced the missing rear badge.
Like I say, I love this car, but I just haven't gelled with it, so I'll be going back to something retro and Japanese soon.
**The private plate might be being retained, I'm still not sure yet (it's complicated!). I will confirm this in the next few days. Here the car is wearing it's original G plate.
These E34's are the next big thing in the retro BMW world, clinging onto the coat tails of the E30, and are starting to rise in value. They won't be this cheap for long, especially a sought after low mileage, pre-facelift straight six like this..
The car is located in Saltburn-By-The-Sea on the North Yorkshire coast, halfway between Middlesbrough and Whitby. The postcode area is TS12.
I'm happy to help out in any way with collecting it's new owner from the airport (Durham/Tees Valley or Newcastle) or railway station.
I am looking for around £2850, although welcome any offers from fellow Retro Riders. I might even be open to an interesting part-ex, particularly something retro and Japanese.

Lastly, a few more pics...
Thanks for looking
