Looks like a really solid start. I am just going to put this here as another possibility for the shell rps-ltd.info/images.htmlSo, having written this as a kit car option, I looked again at this and the other thread - are you located in Ontario? If so, where? And have I asked this before? Amazing work!

Never heard of a head , " lifting". Head gasket might be on its way out. Would get a block test done to indicate the presence of co2 in the coolant before doing anything else. Chemical test that makes indicator fluid change colour from blue to yellow if the head gasket is blown and co2 pressurising the cooling system. Most radiator repair places can do the test. Have no idea if this is relevant or not, but, a number of years ago the bolts on the intake manifold on my MG came loose. It ran fine cold but as it heated up the manifold expanded away from the block and let in air. Could something similar be happening here?

hangon, back the truck up a second. is he eluding to the fact he could have 10 of these off of you and not struggle to sell? That's a possibility, but we're just talking at the moment. I take things one deal at a time and this truck isn't even finished yet. I'm not putting the cart before the horse so I'll just "do what I do, and see what it does".
It's cool to think about either way. I'm optimistic for sure. I drove this old blue truck in the back yard today. The front calipers were a bit stuck so I brought it back in and cleaned the slides and the pads. It should be better, I will try to get a video for tomorrow.
I just have to say that while interest in ten trucks is awesome, what the guy reallly loves is that he can buy a truck from you, sell it for almost double and laugh all the way to the bank. Please don't undersell yourself or the truck. And please negotiate before the build. Or to put it another way, if you cut out the middleman, you only have to make/sell half the number of trucks for the same money which affords you time to be thorough, creative and get some rest.

Just have to say how much I love the attention to detail - and the "extra" steps. Very Victorian when machines were to be things of beauty in their details and reflections of the achievements of the age. I love those kinds of details!

Looks great! I put halegons in my Midget and put relays in. Easy to do, completely removeable and much less chance of letting smoke out of the wires.

Since we are delving into the business end of things, what has been on my mind is that whatever you ended up getting for the first truck was not enough. You have a talent and a market, but, imho marketed it wrong and accepted an offer too quickly. I realize you love doing this and it is a thrill, not just to see it go, but to have the recognition of a peer, but he got a steal and he knows it. Hoping this is received in the spirit it is given, but I figure it was worth 50% more than you sold it for at least.

Oh for heaven's sake, clearly mag lev cunningly constructed out of used pallets and pheonix feathers, strategically deposited before the beginning of time to be just below the surface of the drive and the shed just for this precise moment. Easy peasy

Thank you for removing the sticker on the cap - and setting an example for your daughters. And thank you that you would have done it regardless. It seems like we live in a world where manners, thoughtfulness and common sense are increasingly obsolete and where being a man increasingly seems to mean living a life of eternal Peter Pan adolescence and never really growing up - like our Dodge/Ram friend.

No real Viva update - the wire harness is all repaired, tested and ready to be taped - then the weather got cold and I couldn't be bothered. Then, finally warm again and the first show of the year (and first swap meet) So, switched gears and got the MG ready for the season - had decided to change the oil pump as it was the only thing I hadn't done when I freshened the engine. That and some electrical stuff - some which I got working (the headlights) others I finally gave up (one horn or the other works but not both). Oh and a new battery! Anyway, great trip out to the show - lots of thumbs ups and pictures - and I almost made it - almost! This is me about 5 miles away you can't see it but a sudden complete loss of oil pressure (and oil as it turned out) No visible cause till I got the car on stands and, tada: spot the difference: stripped thread - and peed out all the oil - I actually heard it ping as it left the car. The good news is that it is relatively easily repairable - either tap a bigger hole or a helicoil - we will see. Hopefully on the road by the weekend.

Hmm, rear suspension arms of some description? Look lovely works of art whatever they are And even if they are actually the upper leg portions of what will eventually become our robot overlords, I am OK with that just to admire the beauty of this creative process!

I've got to say I love the look of this. And the speed at which it's coming together. I'm not a fan of the skeleton mirrors or door handles but I do like the hot button , I think it's trying a bit hard (just my opinion). The natural patina carries it on it's own, but combined with the sleeper element you've got a killer combo. This comment sums it up for me too. I love love love the truck, but don't want it turned into an art truck or a novelty truck. It needs to have a bit of edge and a bit or subtlety to my mind, though, your truck, your choice!

I have started, two to breathe through, one to eat with and one to talk out of. I weigh 85kg and want to get down to 80kg prior to racing. FWIW, on this side of the pond it is pretty usual to see the eating one and the talking one combined into one hole. Slight weight saving there.

Best I have had was four days from Australia to the Uk. From a shop, not even someone I knew. Thought that was exceptional... My record is a set of seat covers ordered in the UK on wednesday morning, in my mailbox in Toronto thursday afternoon. Still don't know how they did it except to say, in my experience, British mail is the best in the world! BTW My brothers swears that when he retires he is becoming a UPS driver because everyone will be happy to see hom!
