I can't remember when I took this, but looking at it I think she's another inch lower up front now Carpet up front, notice my gearstick made from the original engines camshaft Rear seats removed and a flat out plate stuck over the pans and carpeted, there will be a bulkhead and parcel shelf here at some point I've not been taking many pics recently sorry.

Absolutely awesome job bud, imp springs eh, you never did get them out of yout system then? I bought an engine from you many moons ago when you had the imp roadster. I remember it well. These are monte-carlo ones I bought for it but never used, found them in a box and thought 'they'll do'

Have a 44 days tills the gathering mini progress report:
She's driving, stopping, running nice etc...
Currently back on the drums as I've had no time. She's fully carpeted up and the rear seats are gone and a bulkhead should hopefully be in there place.
The battery is dead and my insurance runs out at the end of the month.
Err, I noticed last night that whilst she is already pretty nippy I was only getting half throttle due to the original pedal, so I've cut it about and can now get full, which should make her a whole host more interesting.
So yeah, that's where i'm at

A sleeper should be something completely unexpected, even a run down, hubcapped bmw is expected to move along with at least some pace
I've put a twincam turbo engine into a '55 twee British car, its never gonna be rapid, but the look on people faces makes me smile as its not expected.
Its taken me 2 years so far and I've driven her a handful of times at most. Engine swaps are hard, even if you have the mechanical knowhow.
If you do go ahead, buy a donor and keep it till the bitter end, even now i still wish i had the shell to grab little bits off...

The cranks the length of my penis and equally as useful in an engine based situation, they handle like wibblepoo, they make a godawful noise (its not the noise of a 'boxer', its the noise of bad exhaust positioning)
I've had 2, one a non turbo which I preferred in everyway

Yeah def. get one, amazing tool, don't let us put you off, you just need to treat them with a bit of respect. I've not lost a limb yet and the one time I did cut myself with the disc - to the bone on my finger - the speed of the disc cauterised the wound so I could carry on ;p
