Too late for camping?Brian Damaged

Camping was limited to 450/500 (can't remember exactly) places, all were sold out at the beginning of June IIRC.
Keep an eye on the forum daily, even hourly as there are almost always last-minute changes of plans that mean person/persons can't make it.
There WAS a post somewhere with a couple of alternative camping venues close by, can't seem to find it now.
You could try:
Hayles Fruit Farm Winchcombe Cheltenham Gloucestershire GL54 5PB 01242 602123
It's only a couple of miles from Prescott.....

IIRC these things had a habit of knocking out rear suspension bushes. A guy at work has the turbo version and it went through them like no tomorrow until he polybushed it (Superpro I think, remember him telling me it was pretty expensive).

Without knowing what car it is, it'd be impossible to diagnose. Could be anything from shagged tyres to borked suspension bushes or shocks. First check the stupid stuff like tyre pressures and condition of sidewalls (inside and out, my sister's BMW Mini Cooper S developed a similar trait last week which was down to a whacking great bulge in one of the inner sidewalls) then work methodically from there.

I was driving up the A38 past that garage this morning (it's just south of Gloucester on the old A38 between J12 and 13 of the M5) and saw it pulling off the main road onto the forecourt. It looks very, VERY tidy.

Looks good, I like your choice of wheels. I must admit the MX-5 is creeping to the top of my want list. What he said. The more of them i see, the more I want one. Those rims look superb. Welcome to RR!!

Davenger and I are both taking acoustic guitars, so if anyone else has any musical skills there may well be a bit of a campfire jam (without the fire part) going on at some stage. Depending on how much cider gets inbibed...... Other than that, I have no plans to do anything other than kicking back in a field with about 450 of my buddies for a day and a half, getting drunk, talking trash, pratting about and chowing down on various bits of flame-grilled animal, followed by participating in the best damned car show in the world. I don't think I've ever looked forward to anything automotive-related quite as much as this year's Gathering.

Allegros share their 4x4.5" PCD with the BL 1100 & 1300, Princess/Ambassador/Maxi/MGB/Triumph 2000/Reliant Scimitar and a lot of J-tin (Nissan/Mitsubishi etc). Weird wheel offset on Allegros though, meaning you'd have to be careful with arch clearance, not to mention upsetting the handling. The Allegro Equipe came with alloys as standard (made by Exacton), you occasionally come across a set for sale. Pretty rare though. I've seen '70s Cosmics on Maxis in the past, they'd really suit the Allegro IMHO. Good guide here: www.carlsalter.com/wheel_fitments.html

Let me know if you're not coming on the Benz Mafia stand as GTVsaviour is after a spare stand pass for his, please.

I'll be doing the PA commentary at Hednesford - will be nice to meet some of you and maybe snatch a quick interview I'll be in touch about that, Dave.

Never let boring practicalities like tools or mechanical expertise get in the way of unbridled enthusiasm, that's what I say. ;D That's two Bonds on here now. Is that a GT, or a GT4S? Looks nice and straight!!

That's a tidy lil' Polo. Scoring anything with a years' MOT for £300 is good going these days, never mind something with only 60-odd thousand clicks under its belt.
In my eyes that's a mildly facelifted version of a car that was originally introduced in 1981, so will fit into any pigeonhole you like.
Doesn't look like it needs 'rollering'. A good session with some G3 and a mop and maybe you'll think twice about that one. But hey, 'Your Ride Your Way'.....
