Is there a better place in the world than a Goodwood this weekend?! Just awesome. Pics are good, weather was kind. I'm popping along on Sunday, just over the road, which is well worth it as a free experience. You there all weekend Bizzle?

Nice thread for a very enjoyable show as you have said. Great ethos where if you pre register your car you can get in for free with a passenger. Because the cars are the show. I wish more shows recognized that is a good thing for all.

E definitely looks mean, but for me, D is actually far more interesting. It has more of a look that I could believe is part of the original car design.

Very impressed with that, great result and nice to see a modern, personalised convertible that isn't an mx5.

Up for sale is a Cair-o-port. Ventilated, framed car storage solution. As sold through Hamilton Classics. Size 5.0m x 2.2m. Excellent design that provides full protection of your car from damp and dust. Easy zip open front section that allows for easy drive in and out and means you can keep it up permanently, unlike an Airchamber. Powder coated steel frame. Waterproof PVC flysheet and ground sheet. Ventilation provided through 3 small electrically operated fans that are attached into the side panel. These are tiny, near silent and consume very little electricity. This is a great solution to keeping your car in top condition. Perfect for regular use of the car, it will quickly here out a wet car, but also great for long term storage. In excellent condition with original packaging and assembly instructions. Located in wilton, near Salisbury. Selling due to house move so need to sell quickly, hence modest price. Too heavy to post but I will help where I can with delivery. £200 Email - alistair.banks@gmail.com Phone - 07972 214036

All I was getting at was why does there has to always be a sob story involved... I tell you why "because it gets viewers" It's not just car sos, it happens with a lot of tv programs nowadays. Xfactor, BGT just to name a few. What about everyone else that has a car that needs restoring but they can't because either they have ran out of money or not got the time etc? One every level I can think of, this method of selecting the most worthwhile projects is good all round. Why wouldn't you? It is just the human spirit that wants to see people who have experienced bad luck to get a bit of good karma back. if you don't feel that, then don't watch. Maybe you would like to commission a TV series that just finishes off projects for people that have bit off more than they can chew. Many of us on here will form an orderly queue so let us know. Why do some people manage to look at the bad in anything? I think that Fuzz is one of the most likeable blokes on TV, or in this business, so good luck to them, I look forward to viewing.

I was in the workshop as they were putting this together ready for its unveiling at Silverstone Classic this weekend (the AR Motorsport engraved door handles, leather badge and keyrings are made by yours truly!) I love the colour, the choice of materials, the raw alloy bits, the box weave carpets (which also make an appearance on the new Aero8) and the overall appearance. I did dare to mention that I really didn't like the headlights (or the blingy LED spotlights) and the main designer, Jon Wells, said he hated them too. Mark Evans (Aero Racing manager) said that it was their new initiative to move over to LED lighting on all new cars. I see what they are trying to do but until someone can design and make a really nice LED 7" round headlight then I'm going to still say I'm not a fan. Twisted (who build those rather expensive Land Rovers) do have some nice LED headlights, but the main headlight part is still a halogen projector unit. I reckon this would be a good halfway house until some nicer units that look less 'Ripspeed' can be sourced. Why have I spent all this time commenting about just the headlights? Because it's a massive visual thing on a Morgan and this set, IMHO, really do let down an otherwise lovely car. Totally agree with your thoughts. Not sure how critical LED's are to night driving really, so until they make them look pretty, not worth the compromise....

My garage backs onto a footpath that is a fairly busy cut through into town. I am often tinkering on the car with the garage door open, and get quite a lot of the usual comments from passers by. A well dressed elderly chap had a look and stopped the other week, started with the usual 'and old Triumph, don't see many of them anymore', he then surprised me by saying 'which I still had my ST Sprint'. Turns out he was a local Bobby and owned a tuned Sprint that the traffic police used to plead him for a ride. They were stuck in there Mk3 Cortinas, which he said were awful, and his Sprint was the quickest car in Dorking, so he used to let them hammer it round town. They used the opportunity to ignore any limits as they were uniformed, even though they were just having a hoon.

Great work. Wish my subframe and suspension was that clean! Zetec will make it interesting! These cars are worth the effort, although I am slightly biased I suppose.

I think on one level, they are brilliant. The performance, combined with saloon, or estate, practicality, is hard to knock. Never driven one but I'm sure I'd be impressed. But..... I still can't shake the feeling that actually, they are one of the most uncool cars ever. Call that opinion unreasonable, and it probably is, but I would just feel embarrassed owning one. Sorry to not be RR positive.

Thankyou, the other option for me, is to stash the Jag for a while and buy a £200 1.0 micra and run that while I clear some debts and work picks up. By the time you have bought the car, insured and taxed it, you'll have to wait several thousand miles before you are better off than just running the Jag?
