Polo 1.3 four door on an M plate.
Approx 85k Miles (was family owned before we got it)
MOT ran out & it needs some jobs doing no doubt.
Tax runs out end of March
NOT SO GOOD BITS:
Rear inner door skin/plastic cover thing needs looking at where speakers were removed, as floor gets wet by that door when it rains heavy.
Manifold gasket or new bolt for gasket needed. It goes quiet after it's run for a while when it expands, but one of the bolts has sheared off so we just lived with it.It may need a gasket or may just need a bolt. The exhaust doesn't blow anywhere else.
Had a rad fitted some time ago and the low water warning light comes and goes.We have topped up the water now and again but there are no obvious leaks etc and it's made numerous long trips just fine.
Some of the paper work got binned by mistake but we still have the log book.
Drivers side front window sometimes sticks and needs a bang.I just tried it five or six times and it went up and down fine however.
Roof aerial broke.
Rear wiper blade needed.
Drives fine, but handbrake seems high to me and It may get an advisory on play in ball joints or similar.I seem to remember that being said once before. It still drives ok though and doesn't wander about etc or make nasty noises on bumps.
Steel wheels could do with a lick of silver paint if you want to tart them up.
Bonnet looks a slightly different shade to me in the right light.
That's all I can think of for the bad..
GOOD BITS:
Drives really well and is a first time starter. It has sat outside my house not being used now for over a month and it fired up just fine.
Great on fuel.
Power steering.
electric front windows and mirrors.
Sunroof (no leaks) and works fine.
Rear headrests and parcel shelf intact.
Low tax and insurance.
Never used a drop of oil since I changed it.
A few scrapes, knocks and dents, but nothing massively in your face and it still cleans up ok.
Relatively low miles for one of these.
Interior is clean. No real wear on drivers seat..no fag burns or rips and tears etc.
Tyres have plenty of life left in them.
No major rust problems or unsightly scabs etc..just a few bits of surface stuff dotted about - almost all of which is not very obvious.
Great little car which just needs some niggly bits sorted and it will make someone a superb first car or cheap runabout. If I didn't have 4 other cars, I would use it for work without question.I really just don't have the time or patience to get it through an MOT and sort these bits out as we have other cars to use. That said, if no MOT is a major problem, I will get some work done on it and simply sell it for more I guess. It was my wifes car and has been for a few years so was used maybe once or twice a week at most and the odd long run to my parents. It's only being sold as we have an estate car for knocking about it now and it's ended up out of MOT and sat out the front looking sorry for itself (hence I washed it)
Some pics..
Any questions, PM me on here in the first instance and we can take it from there.
