Unfortunatly, the time has come to sell my beloved transit van. I'm only selling this as I have something more upto the task of moving cars around after my trailer was stolen and it's too large to keep in my back garden where I normally keep cars. If I had the space, there is no way I would sell it, but needs must.
As stated above, it is a 1995 (N) Ford Transit 80 SWB van in two-tone white/rust. It has the unbreakable 2.5 litre engine which although has 219k on the clock, it never misses a beat and runs great. IIRC the engine was rebuild at about 180k with new belts and gaskets and alike. The pump has been tweeked slightly to give it a little more power, so there is a small blow of smoke if you really rev it, but nothing major. Hasn't used a drop of water since owning and hasn't gone through a huge amount of oil. There is all the stuff needed for a power steering conversion included too, I never got round to fitting it as it isn't that bad without it.
On the outside, the van is in typical transit van condition, ie. rusty. Nothing bad at all on the chassis, it's as solid as could be, but the bodywork has definatly seen better days. Worst part is the A-pillar where it is very crispy, but I don't know how bad as I really don't want to start poking. All the locks work fine on one key, but there is another key to start it. Tyres are in good condition, the spare will need replacing as it's on the limit, but there is another wheel included that has a good tyre on it, just needs air.
The interior good condition. The front has a Recaro seat from something from the GTE family, at a guess, an AStra. No power windows or mirrors or anything fancy, just simple. The heater does work, but is noisy. The rear is mostly ply lined, just the top half of the doors that arn't.
Righto, pictures. This is when I first got the van. Hasn't really changed much since.
I know I haven't painted the best picture of the van, but it is a very, very good van. As I said at the start, if I had the space I would never sell this van, but unfortunatly I don't.
Any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
I am located about 10 minutes from either M6 J5, J6, J7 or approx. 15 minutes M42 J9.
