I bought a set of 12" steel rims off an early Toyota Starlet to swap the near new tyres off them onto my Wolseley and found that the rims fit as the stud pattern is identical. They don't quite look the same as the BMC ones but they pass a WOF (MOT). My wife's Ford BG Laser (Mazda 323 clone) is currently rolling on 13" steels off my EN Civic on the rear as they had near new tyres and she needed them more than I did. The Honda rims won't fit on the front of the Laser though cos the disc brakes are too big. The Laser/323 rims won't fit on the Civic cos the centre hole is smaller. I have seen at least one 2wd Toyota Hilux getting around on Ford Falcon mags and looking good but I have no photos. I have been told by peole who should know that Ford Falcon/Fairmont/Fairlane, Chrysler Valiant, and Toyota Hilux and Hiace 5 stud rims are all interchangeable.

So really I've come full circle and I can join in with my own thread! I didn't actually have a road legal car, or a driving licence when I first started this thread so here's my Volvo 340 on BMW E30 BBS wheels (excuse the sky-high ride height). Actually it's been wearing these for about a year and I've kept meaning to post pics in here.

Nothing wrong with that ride height Chris. Gives you good ground clearance for off road use. Wouldn't mind if my Falcon was that high.

This appeared on my book face. I guess it's not so much borrowed from another make as just not usually found on this type of car. Made me make involuntary noises though. Sent from my shower using proboards

Anyone put these BMW X5 wheels on an old Vauxhall/Opel yet? They'd quite suit a Royale I reckon. Sent from my GT-I9195 using proboards
