There is SOME organisation... The main town, Reifnitz, is where there's a big show arena area (for the displays, and 'gummi' contest etc) and where all the trade stands are. You have to pay a couple of euros to get in to the town, and if you want to drive through it you need a car pass. Only a few hundred for each entry point into the town are allocated each day, so you get chance to photograph all the ones you miss first time when they come through again ;D But you can experience much of it for free simply by buying a large quantity of beer from a local shop, setting up a chair at the side of the road - in any of the other towns or just on a random road round the lake - sitting back, and letting the cars come to you! There's such a huge party atmosphere in all the campsites and towns you really feel it for the whole week

Also, I didn't see ONE SINGLE Mk2 Golf in Oak Green on BBS Alloys ;D A line up of ten of those constitutes a whole show here (sorry Stu! hah hah!) Heh heh, challenge accepted, I'll make sure there is at least one there next year then and it'll be mine! ;D

Cool pics. Lots of nice drool worthy stuff. I agree to a certian extent about the shows over here. Working at GTI International gives you a bit of an insight. The Euro shows are generally much more laid back, but then the Euro people are too. We went to VW Mania in Belgium and everyone was just chilled and the whole atmosphere was brilliant. The E38 show has much more of a European feel to it and this is how I think things will start to be. More and more people are travelling across the channel to the Euro shows and want that kind of atmosphere when they get back. GTI International is reknowned for its organisation and AutoMetrix prides itself on its trackdays, but there is such as thing as 'too much' organisation and i think this is what people tend to pick up on. Thats why I started my 'Undesirables' retro line up - its much more laid back, its not a stric show n shine class, you don't have to have an immaculate car etc, etc. Its a step in the right direction IMHO. E38 is a completely different show to Inters and it will be interesting to see what happens to it as it gets bigger and bigger (as it undoubtedly will!). I aim to get to Worthersee one year for sure. Got to be done really! in the meantime, check out www.cleaned.be for more cool Worthersee pics... in particular this beaut...

I believe thay are TSW 'cockbaskets', may be wrong though. I suspect you may, indeed, be wrong ;D Big Ron's Mk1 is one of my alltime faves ;D Never got to see the engine bay though. My favourite is either the white(ish) Taxi Mk2 with the leather covered engine, or the orange Jagermeister Mk1

Heh! You should be taking the swallowtail though! Hmm... true, but 3 speed, twin carbs and the aerodynamics of a brick... could get expensive on fuel on the autobahn!
