The P76 and Force 7 definitely need a significant amount of extra dish! I see what you mean there. A pretty wheel though, wonder what the pcd is? Wilko220 posted this link up on autoshite so I thought I'd add it here for anyone wanting more info www.aronline.co.uk/index.htm?ausindexf.htm

I like them because of the 70s ugliness. Really not a nice shape at all, but 14x7/15x10 slotmag combo with Grabbers on the back, painted bright yellow with a purple side stripe and it'd be much better.

The world needs a properly stanced P76. Slam, camber, poke, stretch, the whole shebang.

Just a shame the P76 lack of build quality & poor production/design tolerances became legendary, even if they were not unique to Leyland at the time. Local magazines awarded it car of the year before these became obvious since 4.4L alloy V8 kept it a nice light, relatively agile package for its size... even if the 6cylinder was apparently quite mediocre.

As others have mentioned, lack of development money = many many problems back in the day. Much like other cars of the same era, some owners loved them, others hated their troublesome ones and were sworn off English cars forever.
The last I heard that Force 7 that was in the UK now resides in New Zealand.
Interesting read = "bootful of right arms" by a motoring writer, the same guy who coincidentally killed the Australian muscle car in the 70s - Evan Green - by shooting his big mouth off. It's about rallying P76's.
