Was a pretty poor turnout from the Retro Rides lot. Huge pistonheads meet there! I was there from 6.30 till 8 and there were about 6/7 RRers, and i had like the fourth or fifth oldest car haha. Got some good pics though, ill put them up later when I'm back from generic bank holiday beaching fun.

That would of been me in the chevette. Was nice to see some "super cars" once in a. While but it was lacking retroness. Hopefully the next one will be the same. Maybe worth finding out if it's always going to be a double meet....

I thought I had got the wrong night at first until I see the chevette, sweet ride, nice to chat to Dez and meet will (cool cortina bud) I did not get there till almost 9 got stuck on a heavily delayed train out of the city! Food was good, didn't really get to see many peeps, I left at around 10.30 just as the boys in blue drive round the carpark (it was more or less empty then) good night the weather was perfect, must get there earlier next time

My Kadett seemed slightly out of it's depth surrounded by all the Porsches and TVRs!. i have contacted the diner to ask if the double booking will be a regular thing/air my concerns about the behaviour of a contingent within the pistonheads attendees who obviously attracted the heavy police presence in the area, and the attitudes expressed by some of them towards the retro rides people being there. i will let you all know what is said

Yep, was a shame to share with the piston heads lot, although there were a few nice cars there TBH mind you if they hadn't been there it would have been a bit quiet! Food might have come a bit quicker though we definitely need a bigger showing if we're to convince the owners that we're worthy of a night of our own so here's to the next one

Hi Guys. I don't wish to complicate the issue regarding meeting at the 8 Ball, and we'd love for you to still come along, but because as has been mentioned, the last meet was pretty overwhelmingly Pistonheads cars, and they and retro cars didn't seem to be the best 'fit', I wondered if switching to the last Thursday each month, which at the moment is just UK Fords... they are small in number, but more appropriate to combine with yourselves to make a decent night. Not sure who would make the ultimate decision, but the next few dates would be 26th May, 30th June, 28th July, 25th August... etc. Just a suggestion...

Hi, well I haven't heard back officially, so I have left the Retro night as the 3rd Thursday if that is ok with everyone... 19th May. (Tomorrow week). No pistonheads, just you lot that night;) . Also, we lost the 8 ball diner facebook 'fan' page, so there's a new one to 'like'...
